Joey is absolutely amazing. Often with techy or technical working type of dudes you dont know how clean they are. Have you ever gone into a microcenter? Joey is not only amazing at fire stuff but I bet he cleans his belly button and would make you breakfast after a night out. I bet he also trims his toe nails and takes great care of his children. Standing ovation for his hard work and detail to fire safety. Ten stars. He should get a raise so he can breed like nick cannon and Elon Musk. He has a wide smile with clean white teeth too. Why is that so rare among men? Is it a vanguard thing? Do you guys pass out toothbrushes? Do you have other people like Joey working there? If so, Bravo. You guys should do the hiring practice for our government in not voter positions.

All of the technicians at Pye-Barker are top notch, but they really hit the lottery when they hired Joey Wood.
He is a 5 star technician with a 5 star personality.
You will have a hard time finding anyone more knowledgeable or personable than him.
Not only will he handle all your fire system needs, he will have everyone smiling while he does it.
It’s easy to tell that this isn’t just a job to him, it’s his passion.
He takes pride in his work and really goes above and beyond for his customers. He is truly an asset to this company.
I highly recommend Joey and also Rob. They make a great team, they should be scheduled together on more jobs.
Let me tell you something about Joey Wood. I’ve met a lot of technicians in my time, but none quite like Joey Wood. When Joey Wood walks into a room, the tools practically organize themselves out of respect. When Joey Wood grabs a wrench, the bolts just loosen voluntarily. I didn’t even hire Joey Wood for any fire protection work — but after spending five minutes around Joey Wood, I suddenly felt like my house needed extinguishers, alarms, sprinklers, and maybe even an emergency response plan just because Joey Wood made safety seem… stylish.
Now, Joey Wood doesn’t just fix things — Joey Wood inspires things. I once saw Joey Wood adjust a thermostat, and I swear the air temperature thanked him. When Joey Wood writes on a work order, the pen flows smoother. When Joey Wood drives to a job site, GPS recalculates itself to save him time.
If charm were a certification, Joey Wood would be NICET Level 10. I mean, seriously — I didn’t use Joey Wood for fire protection, but I find myself thinking, “You know what? Maybe I should buy a few extinguishers… because Joey Wood just makes safety sound so damn appealing.”
Bottom line — if there were an Olympic event for being effortlessly professional, Joey Wood would bring home the gold, fix the torch, and make everyone laugh while doing it. If you ever get the chance to work with Joey Wood, take it. And if not, just tell people you did — because honestly, that’s almost as good.

I don’t usually leave company reviews, but after seeing Pye-Barker Fire & Safety’s truck roll through my neighborhood with Joey Wood and his “passenger,” Mr. BEAR, I just had to. Let me tell you — it’s not every day you see a fire safety professional cruising around town with a giant stuffed bear riding shotgun, but that’s exactly the kind of wholesome energy Joey and his bear bring to the job.
Pye-Barker Fire & Safety already has a reputation for being dependable, professional, and community-minded — and Joey Wood just takes that to another level. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work, and Joey clearly does. Every time I’ve interacted with him or seen him out on the job, he’s been friendly, professional, and upbeat — and of course, Mr. BEAR is always right there, brightening everyone’s day with his big fuzzy grin.
There’s something so simple yet so joyful about it. In a world where people are often rushing from one thing to the next, seeing a Pye-Barker truck with a stuffed bear sitting proudly in the passenger seat instantly makes you smile. It’s like a little reminder that work can be serious, but it doesn’t have to be grim. Joey and Mr. BEAR make the brand feel human — approachable, funny, and full of heart.
And it’s not just for laughs — it speaks volumes about the kind of people Pye-Barker hires. The company clearly values employees who take their jobs seriously and have a sense of humor, who can bring positivity into even the most routine days. It’s that kind of energy that builds trust and community.
I’ve seen Joey Wood and Mr. BEAR parked outside local businesses, and every single time, someone is smiling, taking a picture, or waving. It’s like they’ve become unofficial mascots of good vibes in the community. I’ve even caught myself checking parking lots just to see if Mr. BEAR is around — that’s how contagious the happiness is.
As for Pye-Barker itself, the company provides top-notch fire safety services — inspections, alarms, extinguishers, you name it — but what sets them apart are people like Joey. Professionalism paired with personality. When you can make someone laugh and make them feel safe, that’s a rare combination.
So, thank you to Pye-Barker Fire & Safety for hiring people who go above and beyond in both their work and their spirit. And thank you to Joey Wood for reminding everyone that sometimes, even in the world of fire safety, a silly bear can make a serious impact.
Every time I see Mr. BEAR riding shotgun, it genuinely makes my day better. Keep doing what you’re doing, Joey — and keep that bear buckled up and smiling!
Also, Rob, Andy, Josh, and Max deserve 5 stars because they put up with Joey!
