For every 1 visit to Lowe’s, I’ve visited Home Depot 50. Nothing bad against Lowe’s, I just knew Home Depot for the brand.
After an awful time with both Ace and Home Depot, we decided to move our business accounts elsewhere.
This is exact store was almost unreal to experience. Every single employee I passed smiled, asked about my day, and if I needed help. I’m not one to stop and chit chat but what a refreshing change. Start to finish, I was shocked that this Lowe’s isn’t packed to the doors with an awesome staff like this!
Lastly, Robin was great - friendly, cheerful, and knowledgeable.
The only downside is ALL my tools are Ryobi 🥲 so the new challenge is working those out in favor of something at Lowe’s.

Bought a chainsaw online. Went to return without using and found out they only have a 2 day return window. Seems pretty ridiculous to me. Will no longer be shopping there

Experienced sexism at its finest. If you are a woman, I suggest shopping elsewhere.
I came to pick up the puppy planter that I signed up for in advance. I asked an me employee where it was located. He pointed and then told me I “may want to take a cruise around the store first.” (As if I don’t know what a Lowe’s is like or don’t spend money there because I’m a woman.) then the lady named Karen who was handing them out wanted to see proof of my email that I signed up for them. No problem. I show her and she wants to see my phone anyway and tried to get me to resign up because she just assumed that I didn’t actually sign up already. Meanwhile a man comes up to collect one. She stops helping me and asks him for his phone number. He gives it and she hands it to him and gives him a whole conversation. I have to explain to her a second time that I always signed up and only then does she take my phone number. Then she quizzed me and asked what my last name is even after she pulled it up from my phone number as if that puppy planter is so special I would lie about my phone number. She didn’t ask that guy his name. She eventually gave me one, But of course give the male his first a don’t give him a hard time but do that to me because I’m just a woman right?

They use render fences from Indiana, as the only fence installer in michigan. They are a crock ripoff of a company and don’t install to specs, Lowes and render blame each other and no one takes accountability to fix it, then they just blame you - even though I had been up front and communicated everything from the beginning. So pissed off I wasted my money on these companies. They didn’t even use Lowes materials for the installation, they went to Menards. Gave away materials that I paid for to a neighbor. Did not install fence where it was supposed to go per court order that they had on file. They also had official survey in hand. Did not do fence cleanup that I paid for and left hazards in the yard. “He ran out of room on the trailer”. Sent 1 guy to do the entire job because he doesn’t like working with others and wanted all the money for himself (admittedly). Took longer because of that too. Rush job. Some boards left flapping in the wind because they weren’t nailed in but 1 single nail in the top. (Instead of 2 top 2 middle 2 bottom) Absolutely horrible experience with both companies. Do not recommend period.
Edit/ the phone number takes you eventually to the same people I have been dealing with for 2 months trying to get this resolved, pointing the finger at each other and taking no accountability. I was hoping it was for a different department. Nope.
