Laura at the checkout of the Southgate Lowe’s was extremely inappropriate, unfriendly, and downright rude. As I’m trying to checkout I didn’t realize I grabbed a piece of plywood without a barcode. The last time this happened to me the checkout lady was able to pull up the lumbar book and scan a barcode. But not this time. Laura made disgusting comments to me and my boyfriend about how “normally” people take pictures of the SKU # so she can scan it. After mentioning the lumbar book to her she proceeded to argue with us about how “Not everything is in the book” She mocked us about bringing up the lumbar book and proceeded to make us feel like idiots for not knowing that it’s normal people take pictures of a stupid SKU # the store should have on their products. After asking her if she was sure she couldn’t find it in the lumbar book that she didn’t attempt to even grab or search through , she got loud with us and said “Yeah no I’m not doing that” So my boyfriend who just had surgery had to walk another lap around the store because she refused to help or offer any assistance in getting this products sku #. I stood by my cart and Laura made me feel extremely uncomfortable in her hostility. My boyfriend was extremely upset. We have never had an experience like this at a Lowe’s before. I definitely will not be returning to this store especially to support a location who employs people to mock their customers. I’d rather drive the extra 5 miles and go to Menards.

Will not be returning to Southgate LOWES anytime soon!
We tried to return a Christmas Light decoration. Walked in and the employee started saying we do not accept decorations after the 24th. I said I had a warranty on it and it stopped working. She said she couldn’t help me. That I had to talk to a third party. So I said well I wanted to return a dryer vent. She would’t stop talking about the light. More like shouting. I said that conversation was done let’s get this transaction done. Then she called me rude. Again never again. And don’t fall for the warranty bs because the store will not help you!

The man with gray hair who works in the hardware department was so insanely rude when asked for help. If I knew the workers here didn’t want to assist customers, I would’ve saved the trip and went to Home Depot. Which is where I will be going after submitting this review. When you go to a store asking for help, the workers shouldn’t talk down to you and give you a nasty attitude. If you can’t interact with people like a decent human being, get a job that’s not in customer service.
