    The sales experience was fine but the delivery was substandard. We paid extra for “white glove delivery setup” and expected something at least resembling that. To begin with they showed up nearly half an hour past the latest stated delivery time (11:55pm) with no apology or explanation. Then the delivery men unboxed the recliner on the front lawn, scattering packing materials in the dark before manhandling it into the house, tracking lawn debris onto our beige carpet. I wasn’t expecting them to remove their shoes but it’s a rare tradesman who doesn’t come equipped with shoe slipcovers or at least the foresight to wipe their feet before entering the house. Once the chair was assembled, not without much struggling, we had to ask for the chair’s manual, which had been left lying out on the lawn in the dark. No attempt was made to explain the working of the remote and after attaining a release signature, they fled the premises. While they took most of the larger chunks of packaging, I found a few smaller pieces of cardboard and clipped zip ties littering the yard in the daylight. I recognize that sometimes businesses have to make do with what they can get for manpower but to advertise (and charge extra for) “white glove delivery and setup” and then provide the poor service we experienced is extremely disappointing and not what I think of as representing the Gardner White brand.

    I purchased a new kitchen table set. When i received it, there were scratches and gouges taken out of it and a chair was not put together correctly. When the table was touched, finger prints were left all over it. They sent someone out who said they would replace the table and 1 chair. I told them i didn’t want another because of the damage when it was delivered and to refund me. I called to have the refund and set up a pick up for the set. The person i spoke to offered me a $120 restocking fee which i accepted after a lengthy discussion. A week later, i still has not gotten my refund because i was told they “forgot”. I paid $896.05 and I’m only getting a refund of $511.71!!!! They are charging me for the warranty (understandable), delivery, which i was told was FREE at the time of purchase and a restocking fee for a DAMAGED item! A loss of $385.33! That is not fair at all! I thought that was the reason a warranty was purchased! I’ve bought many things from gardener white but never will again! I feel i was taken advantage of because I’m elderly. I may be old but I’m far from stupid! Buyers beware!

    Gina was great so I decided to return and buy a sofa for my family room. I returned to purchase furniture but was told Gina was on vacation and another gentleman would assist . While choosing my family room sofa I was berated and insulted by the black bald gentleman for not buying the most expensive furniture and said he bet I would buy Channel and asked me not to go near the cheap furniture.I will stick to the Novi store near my home where they treat you like family.The salesman told me to go La Roche and buy a 35,000 sofa then complain about spending $6k on a sofa.He definitely was rude and obnoxious.The worst salesman I’ve encountered. My husband and left and will not be returning. Zero stars!

    Very good! They help me find the kind of bed I was looking for to sleep. I may try to find a different one because I think it's not gray enough for me but, it maybe the lighting. If I choose a different bedroom set, it will be from that same store. They have very nice looking bedroom set.

    I had a wonderful experience at this specific Gardner White location. I called ahead to the sales department, spoke with Catina, described what I was looking for from an ad, but explained that I’d be coming from work and didn’t have said ad with me. She was able to locate exactly what I was looking for and told me to come on in. When I got there she already had an expert sales woman waiting for me. Gina was a joy to work with, took to me the exact set I described on the phone and even helped me with a mattress. I was in and out before I knew it. Wonderful experience
