I bought a mattress, if you don’t buy the mattress pad you don’t have the option to exchange the mattress for a different one. They did let us add it on the next day They should be advertising all over the store, no exchange!!! If you don’t participate in the mattress pad warranty. The associate was not clear enough. He should be warning customers. They need to review and change their policies. Will I buy anything from there again NEVER! These furniture stores win win win because they cheat cheat cheat. There is no more respect for customers with quality and respect. Sign should say buy at your own risk! Bad customer values. I think how do they sleep at night. CORPORATE GREED!!!!!!!!!

I purchased not one but two mattresses on the same day from Gardner-White (Shelby store). The mattresses were both installed by Gardner-White. After about 10 months of usage my daughter’s back started hurting and we noticed a huge dip in the middle of her mattress. We decided to call customer service and set up and appointment. The technician arrived and took measurements using his “string” test which is an absolute joke and fabricated system for making sure that no mattress will ever fail inspection. This test has a zero percent chance of actually providing evidence of the internal structure of the mattress. Well come to find out, the technician discovered, upon installation by Gardner-White themselves, the middle bracket was not installed at all! The technician put a bracket on and told us to wait a month (which we did) and made another appointment. Once again, he came out and did the same meaningless test concerning our issue. Consequently, we were told the mattress is perfectly fine again. Upon reaching out to customer service and attempting to contact Gardner -White the manager refused to answer our calls or respond to our emails. Given this fact, I arbitrarily called the store and pretended to be a customer asking a question about if the warranty on the mattress would uphold if I inadvertently installed the frame incorrectly. You guessed it, they said the warranty would be denied because of improper installation. What a safety net Gardner-White has! They can provide improper installation and it’s perfectly fine. However, if the consumer does the exact same thing it’s negates all liability by Gardner-White. To be clear, the second mattress was installed correctly and perfectly fine, hmmmm? In the end, my family and I are left with no recourse other than to shed light on the issue and warn everyone not to ever deal with Gardner-White. Please stay away! UPDATE: After my original review, a manager publicly responded with a phone number to call — so I did. What followed was yet another exercise in frustration. First, the customer service representative claimed she could not read my Google review. How is that even possible? A company responds publicly to a review but their own customer service department “can’t access” it? That alone speaks volumes about the level of organization and internal communication. Second, I was told during this conversation that the entire frame had been replaced — not just the missing middle bracket that their own technician admitted was never installed. To be clear, the entire frame was NOT replaced just the missed bracket alone. At this point it’s difficult to tell whether this is misinformation or a convenient rewrite of events. The solution presented was to schedule yet a third appointment. Here’s the kicker we were told we must wait yet another month from the second completed appointment before anything further can be done. So let me summarize: Gardner-White installs a bed incorrectly, omits a critical support bracket, causes premature mattress failure and back pain — and the solution is for the customer to keep waiting. During this recent call, the representative talked over me repeatedly and could not provide direct contact information for the Shelby store manager. She also would not provide her own manager’s direct contact information. Transparency does not appear to be a priority. The only potential bright spot is that the customer service manager is supposed to call me back on Thursday when she returns. We will see if that actually happens. At this point, the pattern is clear: deflect, delay, deny, repeat.

I took advantage of GW's President's Day sale. I was greeted warmly near the entrance and felt relaxed to shop at my leisure. Once I found the couch and matching glider/recliner to my liking, Nawar worked with me to complete my purchase. He was friendly and pleasant to work with. Budget-friendly sale prices made my purchase possible yesterday. I was only looking for a couch, but was excited to be able to purchase the matching glider/recliner as well. I would recommend Nawar to anyone shopping at the Hall Rd. GW store. I'll ask for him the next time I'm shopping for furniture for my home.

I bought a bedframe for $90 and it wasn’t gonna work out for me. I didn’t open it. I returned it the next day and there was a 25% restocking fee. It’s amazing. How much that $22.50. Can ruin a relationship. like you really needed. $22.50 to put a box back and now I don’t know if I would shop there again. I asked to see a manager. She shook her head and said nobody can override it. Which I somehow doubt. But, Thats not what I asked. I wanted to talk to someone that would look at me straight and make it so I still wanted to shop there. Nothing we can do. It’s company policy she said. Which is such a ridiculous answer. Between that and the fact that at first she said i would have to tale it across town to their warehouse, even though I bought it in stock at this location. And she didn't look at me once. She could not have said “ we don’t care about you” any clearer. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there, so I left it at that. Make sure you don’t have to do a return.. Make sure it’s definitely gonna work out for you. They will not tell you about the Restocking fee upfront. What was unfortunate about it. Is that I liked the place upfront. Nice selection, good people, but that just kind of ruined it I know it’s only $22.50. But it’s the little things, That tell you if its real or a facade.
