I came to this La-Z-Boy to purchase a recliner and was successful. Thanks to Marcus, who showed me several recliners that were in my price range, I selected one. Unfortunately, I will not have delivery for a number of weeks as the colour I chose was not in stock. That is okay as I am not in a hurry. I do already have a recliner of about 15 years. The problem is the rescue cat has decided she likes and wants that chair. Thus, needing to buy an additional recliner. :) All good thanks to Marcus and my positive experience at Novi La-Z-Boy!
Bought a reclining sofa from Dan. He was very helpful without being pushy, which I appreciate because many furniture shopping experiences are accompanied by helicopter salespeople. Very smooth experience so far. Sofa is special ordered, so keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes as smoothly going forward.
The Price increased DRAMATICALLY from the Base cost of our Finley Gliding Recliner. EVERYTHING is an additional cost such as "upgrading" from the plastic "toy-like" recliner handle that should have never been on a "Quality" RECLINER.....will more than likely be the first to break.
With that being said, the final Product just delivered today was the Biggest Disappointment and the main reason for this Survey. The Swivel Base platform and the frame for the Swivel-Recline mechanism appeared to be installed by a "New" employee with poor sighting and no Attention To Detail. There are MULTIPLE holes drilled incorrectly so, instead of getting a new piece of wood ( PARTICLE BOARD!!!!!!!) they apparently kept "Drill Baby..Drilling" until the holes matched.
For a $2,000 +++ chair I am shocked at the "Craftsmanship" especially around the area that will take the most stress & strain.
Sadly, we will never purchase from LazyBoy again even though our past experciences in 2014 were excellent. Something since then appears to have DRASTICALLY changed.

Jessica was wonderful to work with. She came to our home and provided us with a 3D model of the sofas, which really helped us visualize everything in the space. We met twice at the store, and before we knew it we were only a few weeks away from receiving our custom furniture. The whole process was smooth and easy. Great work!
My wife and I purchased a recliner from La-Z-Boy in February of 2023. During our purchase, the sales representative offered an extended 5 year service plan through Serveco for $140, which we purchased. We recently experienced a tear in the fabric which caused the piping to protrude through the front cushion. I notified a representative at the store who referred me to Serveco's website to file a claim. Several days later I received an email back from Serveco stating, "the issue you’re experiencing is the result of normal wear and tear. This type of gradual deterioration occurs through everyday use and is not the result of an accidental, unexpected event. Because of this, it falls outside the coverage terms of your Protection Plan, and we’re unable to approve the claim." I've had furniture for decades that never tore and resulted in the piping protruding through the fabric. Obviously this is not from normal 'wear and tear' for a recliner that only gets used a couple of hours a week. This would have been an easy fix for the company to address. Instead, they denied the claim, which we feel is certainly not characteristic of 'normal wear and tear' nor representative of products made here in the USA. Subsequently, I went back to La-Z-Boy to see if they would rectify the problem. Instead, they declined, stating that it was not their responsibility. I reminded them that La-Z-Boy promoted the warranty plan, and furthermore, profited off of it. This plan was not purchased from an outside facility. They maintained there was nothing they could do about it. It's a shame that the "La-Z-Boy" name has now taken on an whole new meaning. This is the kind of fraud that causes customers to never return to your business ever again. There are simply too many competitors who honor their extended warranties that we will be taking all of our business to from this point forward.
