    The worst delivery and installation experience i have ever had with a retailer. After multiple re- deliveries, re installations, taking time off work i am still having issues with the appliances I purchased. Instead of fixing the issue with my refrigerator by just doing an exchange, they have transferred me to the manufacturer. I used to do all my home improvement shopping at Lowe's. It will be a cold day in he'll before I set foot in one of their stores.

    Update: Original post below update So, Thank You Lowe’s for your useless reply. The phone number connects you to someone who has no idea why you are calling or want to help. I was eventually connected to someone who tried to help but the installation department didn’t answer their phone, no surprise there. I was promised a phone call back today and guess what it didn’t happen. My husband was also on the phone trying to get a hold of the installation department and no answer and absolutely no call back. What poor business. We started on Aug 2nd with having our home measured for new doors, front and back. We had them already picked out. One of the four was a special order so we understood that took some time. The doors arrived and a Oct 1st/2nd install date was set, ph plus a delivery date. When we ordered the doors we were told that they do install on Saturdays, they do not. We were also never told that someone has to be home for delivery plus the two day installation. Okay, made arrangements for someone to be here to accept the doors. They delivered ONE door out of FOUR, well tried to. They were questioned and all of a sudden found two more of our doors in their delivery truck. Install day, took the day off. Installer showed up after figuring out he needed to pick up the special order door, he was never told it was not delivered. It was damaged! So he came to the house and was going to go ahead and install the front set since we had all that, well except we were sold the wrong coiling (trim) for around the doors when they are completed. So, instead of going to Lowe’s, a few minutes away, he left. He was really nice and none of this was his fault. I went to Lowe’s to make sure a new door was getting ordered and I was met with a ton of attitude form some young Manager who acted like I was totally wasting his time and also said he knew all about it and already took care of it. Guess what! He did NOT! Eleven days later I get a call from a Lowe’s number to let me know that she was going to order our door that day, I was like what? Oh and she would rush it too. Got a call the next day or so telling me that the guys were going to come and and pick up the coil that was wrong and I HAD to be home. They came, took two seconds. I went to Lowe’s and purchased the correct coil, I think since the guy working the counter that day didn’t seem to know what I was asking him or care. Today (Oct 31) I get a call that they can’t install until DECEMBER 15. Plus I have to store the remaining three doors until then. We were warned NOT to use Lowe’s but obviously did not listen. We liked the doors but this has been such a horrible experience that after this we will never promote anything Lowe’s or shop there. The communication between departments is awful and they obviously just don’t care about the treatment of their customers with so much rudeness in the store. The ones who call on the phone have been very pleasant and respectful. It’s not their fault as they are the middle person.

    Buying a new door? Go somewhere else. Spend a few extra bucks and buy from a local shop. The absolute lack of communication between Lowe's and their installers is baffling. Setting aside the fact that the measurements were completely wrong TWICE and the order I placed in May didn't get installed until October, I still had to make a personal trip to the store on the day of install because Lowe's didn't have all the parts ready for pickup by the installer. And then, if anything is wrong with your install, or you have questions, Lowe's will not help you. They tell you to contact the installer, which, good luck doing that without their contact info. 100% headache that should have been an easy, one-month endeavor. Avoid big box stores for tasks like this.
