  I've been a customer here for over 5 years and this is the best storage unit facility because it is run by a very kind couple who value their customers. I've had a few other storage units from other companies and their customer service has always been terrible. And they raise the rates as soon as you're all moved in. But not MINI U on Merriman! They aren't trying to scam anyone, just make a living. The ONLY complaint I have is that I spoke to someone new on the phone when I tried to call about a question recently, and she was so rude. She spoke like everyone was beneath her. I don't think customer service is for her. I forget her name, if she even gave me it.

  Extremely inconvenient. I have only been here a couple of months. They are constantly closed and unavailable by phone. When I first came here I should’ve known better. Closed office with a “will be back” sign two different times. After getting a unit, it just got worse The first call I wanted to upgrade my unit. No call back. The second call I needed a truck and a bigger unit. No call back. Third attempt I actually showed up. Employee in the parking lot refusing to help because its lunch. Im changing companies.

  Won an auction for only $10. Never got any notifications that I won the auction. I called to discuss the matter with the manager. Her attitude came up as very rude and she was not willing to rectify the issue when I know she could've. Will never do any business with them

  I have been a Mini U Storage customer for about fifteen years maybe more. This company has done nothing but tried to raise my rent each year. I have asked the manager why are they raising my rent and they said they didn't know. Every year in February like clockwork I get a letter from Mini U saying they are raising my rates. I am sick of being taking advantage of by them so I figured it is time to write a real and honest view of what it is like being a Mini U customer.

  I singed up for this location back in September of 2025 and I must say I haven’t had the best experience. Mice droppings throughout my items and the hallway always smells badly. Today was the icing on the cake. I was behind for my Dec and Jan bill due to helping my mother with her hostipal bill and praying she gets out. I asked to speak to the manager to see if I could pay my past due fee but pay my late fee another time as I didn’t have the full amount but wanted to pay what I could to get the bill down. The manager bluntly and rudely said it’s nothing she can do and that I need to find more money somewhere to pay in full. That statement was so disrespectful and rude to say to a customer when you don’t even know the circumstances. I have been in the customer service industry for almost 20 years and I would never say that. I told her she didn’t have to say and she was being rude and she said I am just being honest, figure out how to pay full, and pay online or come in and pay, is there anything else. My friend loned me the difference and I’m now paid in full. Once I’m back in MI, I will be moving my things out and I hope someone from corporate get that manager together asap, she is bad business for you. I didn’t catch her name
