This month, I thought I had until the 30th and I usually always pay on the 29th. Today I get home from work and my power is out. I had to pay $750 additionally on a $189 bill because I guess they wanted it on the 28th this month. One time two years ago this happened and they worked with me then. This time, there was just nothing they could do. Also, they said the date due fluctuates based on when they read the meter.. CE is consistent with me though. When I was in NC, that utility/energy company worked much better than DTE. CE isnt like this. Water isnt like this. No other company ive had to deal with is like this. The customer service representative was 10/10. I know the workers who put in the work are 10/10. The people responsible for how this company operates only care about $ and they will do whatever necessary to make as much of it as they can, especially off the backs of the ones who pay their salary.
