  A1 does snow maintenance for a plaza on dix highway in Lincoln park. The driver had his spinner turned all the way up driving through parking spots blasting the sides, backs and fronts of everyone’s vehicles more than halfway up because their flatbed salter sits up so high. Called to inform the company and they said “it’s a fine line because it’s a medical building” and the lady did not seem to care which tells me they get calls about this often. 75% of the plaza is not a medical building but regardless blasting the sides of people’s vehicles with salt that has golfball size chunks from freezing or any size of salt is never okay. Turn your salter down and have control of where you’re throwing & placing things. Do better to other people’s property.

  Had a pool put in and I hired A1 sprinklers to replace all the damage that was done to the old system. The owner wanted to talk about the new system with me, I told him he is the sprinkler expert and to do my system the way he would do his own. My only request was to make sure everything gets watered including the flower beds. A1 didn’t repair or replace the waterline that went to the front flower bed. I called shortly after the job was done and the owner told me they would try to adjust another zone to water that flower bed. That didn’t work so the owner told me they would fix it in the spring. Spring came and went with no word from them. I called them to have the sprinklers turned on for the summer and have that flowerbed zone fixed. The owner called me and told me he was going to have to charge me again to fix that area. We are talking several hundreds of dollars. This is after I already paid him thousand’s of dollars to do the job. Again our original agreement was to repair or replace ANY part of the sprinkler system that was damaged from the pool install. Long story short I would pass on this company if I was looking to have any sprinkler work done again.

  A-1 did my irrigation system at my house in Dundee, MI. They went above and beyond and did an excellent job. Thank you. From our first interaction, A1 lawn sprinklers was extremely thorough and professional. I took four different quotes for the job, and I ended up choosing A1 for their responsiveness, professionalism, cost competitiveness, attention to detail, and the fact that they use hunter systems over Rainbird. The owner Mike came out and conducted my quote, he explained every aspect of what he thought I would need for my property to get the best out of the sprinkler system. I learned a ton from our initial interaction, all about the different heads all about the system, the zones, tons of information. I did not know before. It was very informative and helpful. They use high quality Hunter Products, I also sprung for the Wi-Fi set up, which is incredible. I am glad that Mike explained the Wi-Fi control box to me and I am super happy with the choice I made. On the day of the job, they were on time and worked quickly and efficiently, . They had a pretty large team come out and they got the job done in about 7 hours. It was an extremely professional team, the owner. Mike was out at the beginning of the job to talk to me. Mike’s team did a bang up job, they explained everything about the sprinkler system, and the app, and what I should do to start off with my irrigation schedule. A1 irrigation communicated with my landscaping company, and worked well to come up with a schedule to get my sprinkler system in, my yard prepped, my sod in, in the correct order of actions that needed to take place for the whole job to be successful. After the job was done, I needed some fine-tuning and some different heads to provide better coverage, and they were able to come out the next day and make sure that I was happy with the installation, and swap out some heads. There were some hiccups with my plumbing set up and water flow, Mike and his team worked with me and we’re understanding of the situation, and even provided critical feedback and notes to make sure that the plumber that was making adjustments was able to get the plumbing running right. A1 was flexible with payment, they allowed me to send an electronic paper check in the mail after the work was complete. I would not hesitate to use them again for service on my system, and refer them to others as well. I cannot say enough good things about this company! Highly recommend!

  Just Love, Love, Love A-1, if I could give them a 10 + I would. Since I can't want to put it in writing to you ALL, they are an awesome company to use. Having A-1 care for my system for so many years, the owners treat me like family. The attention to details from their team is above all other companies, and I know my system is in the best hands! If there's any issues during start-up, the techs will do whatever possible to ensure my system is optimal, resulting in a lush green lawn and beautiful gardens to enjoy.

  We had A-1 sprinklers install our system and have used their company over the past 8 years for service calls. We recently had them come out for a couple issues with NO COMMUNICATION regarding costs. My husband was onsite, talk with the team about the issues, issues fixed and when asked what do we owe the crew said "were all set." We were surprised that they did not discuss costs or say "you'll get a bill in the mail." A couple weeks later we were SHOCKED to get a bill for almost $200!!! They were here for less then 45 min and fixed an elbow and a poppet. When I called to pay the bill I spoke with Kim and provided feedback and shared my frustration and she HUNG UP on me. Clearly the crew learns from Kim for their unprofessionalism. EXTREMELY rude, HORRIBLE communication and money-hungry business.
