Horrible customer service! I've never shopped at Lowe's before. When I saw a garden sweeper on sale with a "sold as is" sign, I asked the woman at the self check out it that meant final sale or if it was because the box was weird. Before she can answer, I asked if there's a part missing...would I be able to return it. She said yes. She then rung up all my stuff so I can grab paint. When I came back, I thanked her the asked if she was sure I can return it. She said yes! Well, I opened it the next morning to do my leaves and there were a few parts missing. I went to return it and customer service made me feel like an idiot. The woman wouldn't even look at me before she told me she wouldn't return it. The man had a smirk on his face while I was having a break down about it! It was $101! I can't afford to just toss $101 out the window! I now have a product I can't use and an experience and furthers my social anxiety!!!!

I ordered a toto toilet online on 10/24/25 and went and picked it up on 10/30/25. The girls that I seen when walking in asked if she could help me and I said I was here to pick up a toilet. She took me back where you get online orders. She was exceptional at her job. I told her I needed to go back and get a couple other items, she said no problem, just come back up to the pick-up area. I went and got my items that I needed and returned to the pick-up area. She asked if I was all set and I said yes lets get this toilet loaded up. There were three boxes and all were in very good condition, nothing that would indicate any problems with anything inside. When I got home I parked my truck in the garage and left the boxes in the back. Because the boxes were in very good condition I decided to remove the old toilet, but then remembered I needed a couple other items to install the toilet. When I got back home I prepped the area for the new toilet, then went out and brought the boxes on the back porch so everything would be handy. I opened the box with the base unit, only to find a big chunk of the toilet laying in the box with the biggest part of the toilet. I called my store and was immediately placed on hold without anybody saying anything. Just under ten minutes went by and I was disconnected. I then called back and a guy named Dan answered the phone, keep in mind I'm not in a very good mood at this time. He asked what he could help me with and I told him that I have a broken toilet that I just picked up the day before. He said he could order me a new one and I asked him how long would it take, and he asked how long it took for the broken, and I said just under a week. He said it's probably going to take about the same time. I told him I was having cataract surgery on November 5th. I told him that I was a good customer and asked if he could have a new one expedited so that I could get this installed so that I'm not harming myself by bending over and picking this thing up. He said that I'd have to reorder one and wait. I kept bringing up points and he said if I am done, he was hanging up on me, which he did. I now had to box the stuff back up and take it back to the store. So now I get to the store and a nice young man asked if he could help with something and I asked if Dan was round. He called for Dan who showed up after a few minutes of waiting. He come out and looked at the broken pieces of toilet and asked what If I wanted to order another one. I told him absolutely not, not when someone who hung up on me. I asked him if I could speak to a manager and he said that would be me. I said that's not very customer friendly, when you just hang up on a customer. He kind of shrugged his shoulders, like I don't really give a shit. I got my return receipt and left saying you just lost a good customer. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS USELESS. I SPENT 15 TO 20 MINUTES ON THE PHONE WITH THEM AND GOT THE TOTAL RUN AROUND. I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THERE CRAP AND HAVING A MANAGER HANG UP ON ME.

The extended warranty is a BIG waste of money. Bought all new kitchen appliances 3 yrs ago and purchased the 5 yr extended warranty on all of them. The end cap on the stove handle came loose a couple weeks ago. Called regarding having it replaced as it is still under warranty. The warranty states it covers parts and labor but when we called we were told the warranty does not cover parts. After disputing what we were told we were then told we would have to order the part ourselves and request a refund which would be issued in the form of an e-gift card. Not acceptable. After more discussion was told we can request a check refund. Ordered the part (with assistance from the store for which my husband had to speak to a manager to approve) then my husband had to install the handle. When I called regarding our refund i was told we will send you a link and you have to request it on line. Got the link, followed all the steps and got an error code stating I need to call to complete. Called and after having to explain the issue 3 times I was told they only refund half the cost of parts. Hence a BIG waste of money. This is the first time we purchased extended warranties…won’t make that mistake again.

We ordered a refrigerator for delivery after moving into our new home one month earlier. The delivery team arrived and proceeded to move the old fridge out to the center of the kitchen without equipment on a hardwood floor, causing scratches throughout the kitchen. After setting it in place my wife discovered additional damage to the floor: a "groove" caused by the old fridge wheels while wheeling it to the front door without using any straps or placing mats/covers on the floor. Between scratches and this groove, my wife immediately asked about the damage they had created. The team's response was (approximately) "No way we could do that. That had to have been here before." After leaving, they knocked on the door to take a second set of photos claiming the first proof of delivery photos "didn't go through." The second photos were submitted with the first in an attempt to show that the delivery was made with preexisting scratches to the floor, something later confirmed by Lowe's own customer service. Our claim process was denied after the original shipper called me to argue about what my wife saw happen to our floor; refusing to acknowledge any responsibility. The claims company responsible for Lowe's then upheld the denial. Don't order any appliance for delivery from Lowe's if you can't avoid shopping there all together. This was an awful experience and we are still left with a damaged floor. Update: I did reach out as directed below, provided the above story, and was told this would be passed on to management. I have heard nothing since my call to customer service. The automatically generated response can below has not changed anything.
