I love shopping here. The store is always so clean and well organized! I really admire how attentive you are to your customers. If there’s ever an opportunity for weekend help, I’d be excited to contribute!

Lowe's of Adrian Michigan were absolutely wonderful. Excellent customer service from Jason and Courtney. They were very helpful and went above and beyond what I expected. Both of them deserve a raise. I highly recommend Adrian Lowe's

My 80 year old mother hired Lowes to install a new privacy fence, with 2 gated areas, at the back of her property. They told her that she had to pay, in full, when she hired them. The fence was supposed to be installed in the spring. Nothing. The local store said that they couldn't help and that she couldn't get her money back. No one seemed able to tell us where she . could find out the information about what was going on. Several months later, in Sept.,she heard that they were coming. They were at her house for a couple of days, installing posts. Then, they disappeared. They were supposed to be back in 2 days, and again...no one seemed to know what was going on. In fact, no one even knew who the sub-contractors were. In the mean-time, my mom had no fence, no way to contain her dog, and her yard was wide open to the rough alley behind her house. I went over to inspect what was done, and I was horrified at the quality of the wood being used, as well as what had been done already. If nothing else, we now knew the sub-contractor, Renner from Indiana. The local Lowes was able to get us their contact information. We live in Michigan, and they sub-contracted to a company in Indiana...who sub-contracted to another company. No one even knew who that company was or where they were located. I took over and started calling them myself. They told me that they had made a mistake of the direction the fence was facing, and now they had to order more materials. I asked the woman if she was seriously telling me that they had disappeared, because the rough side of the fence was supposed to be facing the alley, and if she was somehow telling me that the fence was longer when you reversed it, same exact line. She eventually said that she had made that up. She couldn't do anything to help me at that time. I spent a day and put up a temporary fence for my mom to allow her to at least get her dog outside. When the fence guys returned 2 weeks later, the quality of the fence was horrendous. My mom was told by Lowes that the job had to be completed before Lowes would do anything monetarily to make up for the issues. We were led to believe that all/most of the fence would be reimbursed. The local Lowes promised to run a complaint as soon as the fence was finished. When it was finished, the local Lowes said that there had been a change in administration of Lowes. They could no longer help us. They gave my mom another number to call. I called. She called. I went to Lowes myself, and was given a corporate number that was disconnected. The company that was sub-contracted, Render, came out one day without permission/notification of us. They left and said the fence was fine. The fence is definitely not fine. Since that time, my mom has been given the run-around to various non-helpful numbers. She told them that she wanted them to come out when she, and myself, are present. She told them that I could come after work. They then stated that they have to come before 3pm. I had an accident on Thanksgiving, and I was hospitalized. I wasn't able to return to work right away, so my mom called and asked if someone could come now that I was home. They said they were unable to come at that time. Now, they have said they are only available until noon. This whole process started in March/April. It's heading toward the end of January. Both my mom and myself have spent tons of hours, both calling and driving to the store, and nothing has happened. I can't give a rating below zero, but the fact that this company is fine with taking advantage an elderly woman is horrifying. I have shown the pictures to several construction-experienced people, not telling them the story before-hand, and everyone has said it is "second quality materials". Here are pictures from when the workers disappeared for two weeks. Notice the quality of the wood (I have a ton more photos, as well) and how they left the yard. The photos of the completed fence are with my mom, and having just had another frustrating conversation with Lowes, I will have to add those after getting them from her.
