  Absolutely horrible experience today 11/15/25 when we visited La-Z-Boy to select and purchase all the Furniture we need for a home we are building in Wilmington, NC. So we live in Scarborough, Maine and my wife and I went in there today to view complete furniture items to basically furnish our entire house that we’re building in Wilmington, North Carolina upon our arriving at the store. This woman came out to us older women very bubbly. can I help you today? What are you guys looking for? So my wife explained to her that we’re building a home down in Wilmington, North Carolina and we need everything we need bedroom sets we need Furniture for our living room. We need a dining room tables. We need everything and the woman immediately went too well we are a privately own store. You’re gonna have to go to the factory store in North Carolina and order everything there and they can deliver it to your house. We don’t do deliveries that far not knowing not knowing we weren’t asking for anything anything to be delivered that we will be taking a U-Haul truck right here here from Maine And bringing our furniture that we’re buying in addition to other stuff that we need to bring down to Wilmington so we said OK. She said you’re more than welcome to look at anything here if you want to and you know and then you’ll know what you need down there so my wife said OK that sounds great and so she said we’ll have at it and she walked off on us and basically I said to my wife there’s no commission here that she can see because she thinks that we’re looking to have it Delivered so therefore she walked off on us. It’s absolutely terrible Lowe and behold let me share with you. We left there quite disappointed to say the least and we directly went to West Elm where we shared everything with the woman that met us upon arrival that we did with this woman at La-Z-Boy and she said OK so let me ask a few questions. We do deliver because we do nationwide deliveries however are you going to want it delivered there or are you going to be picking it up here and being Brent brought down we said we can do either or it does not matter. She said OK whatever works works best for you and we then selected our entire furnishings, Sofa, Bedroom set for Primary bedroom as well as the guest room, bar stools for breakfast bar, dining room table and chairs, two swivel chairs, coffee table with two end table for bedrooms, cabinet to sit below tv on the wall, we put the complete order in and paid for everything $14,786.46 and we were done. This woman at West Elm was a true professional and took the time to ask questions rather than assume we wanted or expected everything delivered to Wilmington unlike the woman at La-Z-Boy. Shame on the sales rep at La-Z-Boy. I would never ever buy nothing from La-Z-Boy again for the way I was treated today and intend to share this all over social media and with all my huge network of friends.

  I bought one couch back in 2018 from La Z Boy and it was so awesome that when I needed to buy a sleeper sofa for the office, I went back. The staff are incredible and give exceptional advice. I appreciate their insight into fabric choices and styles. When we buy our basement “man cave” couches, we will be buying from here once again. The quality can’t be beat and the customer service is superb. Genuinely a fan!

  We ordered 2 matching recliners for our home. We have had Lazy Boy recliners in the past and enjoy the quality and the lifetime warranty of their products. The salesperson was very helpful when we had questions. We appreciated that they didn’t “hover” the entire time we were browsing. Our biggest complaint and disappointment is that their chairs do not include headrest or arm covers. We had to pay $100 per chair for these. When we received them, they were just 3 square pieces of fabric. The arm rest covers aren’t even fitted, just a square piece of fabric. For $100 I would have expected more.
