    People of color do not shop here. Today, February 18, 2026 my wife was racially profiled by some new lady in self checkout. She actually came over to my wife and stood there with her hand on the cart watching everything she did. She did not pay the other customers any mind at all of whom happened to be white. She even reached into the cart and moved some things around. This is absolutely unacceptable. You guys have a woman that is so consumed with racially profiling black people that she was not even aware that another customer needed assistance. This should be quite concerning for management. I know that Home Depot just acquired new customers as myself and anyone I know will no longer be spending our money at this Lowes. I am sure this review will not be taken seriously or even addressed with this racist person but do feel free to review the security footage of the self checkout to see for yourself. This white rage and just assuming that black people will steal from you is going to cause you to lose some business once the word gets out. So don't take it seriously if you want... continue allowing racist workers to profile people of color if you want. When your employees racist behavior starts to cause you to lose money maybe then you will enforce standards and have your employees treat every customer the same regardless of their race.

    I picked out the color Brevity Brown prior to going into the store using the Sherwin Williams color tool online. I ordered this color at Lowe’s along with nearly $400 of paint materials and new hardware for my project. After nearly six hours of work and nearly a full coat of paint applied, I was frustrated with the color being so off upon drying. I then realized the associate at the Lowe’s paint counter gave me the color French Roast, which was not what I asked for and several shades too dark. Not only this but my new paint materials were all used in this incorrect and very dark color, after I specifically purchased all new materials to ensure the project be done correctly. When I went to return the paint and explained what happened, the manager Mike only refunded the paint after being short, rude, and telling me to “wash the brushes”. No acknowledgement of accountability, and nothing was done to account for all the materials that are not washable, although it was the associates initial mistake. I explained that I would now need to prime to fix the mistake, which was not needed prior considering the walls were previously white and were now dark brown. He only offered half off a can of primer - which I would not have needed had the associate given me the correct color in the first place. I am disappointed not only in Lowe’s initial mistake, which has now cost me a lot of time, money, and forced me to backtrack in work - but also in the rudeness of the manager and his refusal to acknowledge Lowe’s mistake and want to make things right. I am considering returning the remaining unopened hardware/materials I purchased and taking my business elsewhere both for this project and going forward. At a minimum, lesson learned that you definitely cannot trust this Lowe’s to deliver the product that ask you for.

    Micah was so very helpful to me at the Portland Lowe’s store! He is a great asset to the company!!!! He was absolutely wonderful!!! So friendly and helpful!
