We ordered a sauna just before the end of the year and it was delivered to our garage on January 14th. Unfortunately, the experience from that point forward has been incredibly frustrating and poorly managed.
After delivery, we heard nothing from the company for a week until I reached out myself to ask about installation. Only then did our delivery coordinator follow up with the installers and inform us that installation would need to be delayed “another week” due to the upcoming snowstorm — something everyone already knew was coming.
What makes this even more frustrating is that if the delivery coordinator had been proactive with scheduling installation, the sauna could have been fully installed well before the snowstorm ever hit (they had 10 days!). Instead, the lack of planning on their end created unnecessary delays from the very beginning.
After the snow melted nearly a month later (with our car stuck outside because this sauna has been sitting in my garage), we again received no outreach whatsoever to schedule installation. I had to follow up multiple times, and my emails went unanswered for four days before I finally received a response.
The most frustrating part of this experience happened on the scheduled installation date, when we were suddenly told — for the very first time — that we needed to hire a painter to paint and "seal" the sauna after their installation. This requirement had never been mentioned AT ANY POINT during the sales process, delivery, or any of the previous communications.
Now we need to figure this out within four days before rain is expected. Being given a last-minute requirement like this on a major purchase is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of planning and professionalism.
This was supposed to be an exciting purchase for our family, but instead it has turned into a stressful and frustrating experience driven entirely by poor communication and disorganization.
For a product at this price point, the level of service we received is unacceptable. I would not recommend buying a sauna from this company.
EDIT: In response to the owner: Yes, your installers did stain the sauna for us but 1) we had to pay extra for that service separately 2) i also ran to the store to grab them the necessary supplies to do it. We are grateful the installers were able to understand our frustration and help us but let's not give the impression that this was done for free or to make things right after this bad experience.

I have just purchased my third Hot Springs hot tub, from Nick Caparell, in the Rockville location. My last one lasted over 20 years, and I purchased this one over the phone from out-of-state. Nick guided me wonderfully through the remote purchase decisions. He displayed excellent knowledge, patience, and good humor over our several phone calls. I am glad to see that Capital Hot Springs is still the highly professional company I have always found it to be.
Follow-up. I ordered this spa in late November and was disappointed to learn that it would not be delivered until February. When I heard recently that it would now not arrive until mid-March, I was sorely tempted to cancel it. The bitter cold weather is almost passed and the lack of any explanation for the delay added to my frustration. It is not the sales staff's fault, but Hot Springs Spas and Capital Hot Tubs and Saunas, its local distributor, have cooled my warm enthusiasm.
Nick did a fabulous job taking care of me by selling a two-person hot tub that I plan on placing in our sun room. He directed me to exactly what I needed quickly and effectively. He treated me fantastic. Nick is a great employee for Capital Hot Tubs!
