I came in for a fundraiser and was given the run around. I was told to come back in a few weeks because donation funds had been exhausted. Came back as was advised and spoke to the same manager, who then told me these kind of things have to go through corporate. I called corporate and was told that donations/fundraisers are done through your local store. A simple “no” would have gone over a lot better than giving me the run around.

Today, I was scheduled for a dishwasher (paid in full) installation between the hours of 3:00-6:00pm. I received a message at 5:30pm that someone would arrive at 6:45pm. At 7:00pm, I called Lowe's and spoke with a manager who was extremely polite. End of story the contractor did not reach out to me until 8:00pm. The customer service is horrible. No, I do not want a repair man providing service this late. Lowe's really need to stop utilizing non-reliable contractors. This company was "Mega Plumbing Corporation". Also, same scenario, we ordered a heat pump and the contractor never came to install it. He sent a photo saying he would be late and had the water heater in someone else's home. I will be reaching out to corporate with my dissatisfaction.

don't contract with them for floors. I found ones I love had a lovely installer working with me, then I got sick, reached out to her, she said she'd be back in touch on 2/1/26 -- never did -- no response whatsoever to email, text phone -- worse I contacted Loewe's customer service -- also no response. Today I get an email asking me to proceed with my quote??? Feel in limbo and all my furniture is piled in a bedroom -- I can't tell if I should laugh or cry. Maybe Big Box culture -- you get the quote and they diss you from there. Really disappointed

Outstanding Customer Service – Ask for Pierre! I had an excellent experience at the Lowe’s in Columbia thanks to Pierre. From the moment we started talking, it was clear he was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely focused on helping me find the right heating solution for my home; not just making a sale. Pierre took the time to walk me through several options, explain the differences clearly, and answer all of my questions about performance, efficiency, and installation considerations. He was especially helpful in reviewing the specifications of the fireplace I ultimately purchased, the display model which is rated to heat up to 1,000 square feet. He made sure I understood how the BTU output, ceiling height, and open floor plan would factor into real-world performance, which I truly appreciated. What stood out most was his professionalism and attention to detail. He never rushed the process, made sure I was comfortable with the decision, and ensured everything was handled smoothly from start to finish. Buying a major home item can be stressful, but Pierre made the experience easy and reassuring. If you’re looking for a fireplace or home heating solution, I highly recommend stopping by the Columbia Lowe’s and asking for Pierre. He’s a true asset to the store

Garbage customer service. Came in early in the day to use the MinuteKey kiosk because I needed 5 copys and while I was paying, it took my $10 and stopped accepting cash mid transaction so I couldn't pay the rest and I had to cancel the purchase. So it ate my money and sent me a text that EXPLICITLY STATES "Show this text to Customer Service for a refund." and I went and stood in line for Customer Service and they tell me that they don't refund those and to call the MinuteKey customer service. I had to go to work so I left and when I got off I came back later in the day to talk to a manager and I ended up getting the same unwillingness to help. When I asked for a manager, they didn't acknowledge my request, but I heard the PA "Special Assistance" call. This bald African "Manager" that someone told me his name was "Buba", comes over from somewhere and doesn't identify himself as a manager or ask me what happened, but starts telling me how the MinuteKey kiosk isn't their problem basically and that there would be no way to refund me anything because there is nothing they can enter that can allow them to take money out of the register to replace the money that the machine took from me. I asked him for a manager and he hits me with "I am the Manager." so I ask for someone above him to which he replies there is no one above him. So I just wanted to be clear that he didn't want to help me with this and he said he couldn't, which as someone who has been a manager in retail, I know is just unwillingness to put in a little effort to take care of the customer because petty cash is absolutely a thing. The ultimate issue is that the kiosk in INSIDE YOUR STORE, who cares if it's third-party, it OCCUPIES YOUR STORE. It screwed me out of $10 and you could make it right but chose not to. I fully 100% know that none of the employees I delt with today honestly care at all about me or this issue and it gives insight into how other potential issues with purchaes could be handled so I will make an educated consumer decision to no longer do business with this location or potentially any Lowe's going forward as I am fully capable of l buying tools and supplies on Amazon or at Home Depot.
