  I am an AD military member who recently moved from FL to MD, requiring a downsize due to this areas cost of living. It is already a massive burden, and I’m currently in a borderline unsafe housing situation, as this is all I can afford. I rented a unit at Extra Space (7205 Oakland Mills Rd) to help manage the transition. I would have given this place 5 stars initially, as it helped me out so much. But after only TWO months, I just received a letter in the mail informing me the monthly rate has doubled from $67 to $134. While I’m sure there is a clause in the contract allowing this, it is a predatory tactic designed to trap people who have already done the hard work of moving in. Taking advantage of service members during a difficult relocation is a shameful way to do business. I cannot afford this hike and feel completely blindsided.

  Zach and Becca are the best! They are so helpful, welcoming, and friendly in every aspect. This storage center has been amazing and very helpful throughout my experience. I recently moved units, and because of how great they have been, I plan to stay here as long as possible.

  Wonderful experience with Zach. He was extremely knowledgeable on everything and he went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. And we are very happy and grateful to have worked with Zach. His work ethics are impeccable. Excellent customer service and communication. Great personality. The facility was opened in August and it is super clean and very well maintained. Excellent location and easy access with a covered loading and unloading area.

  Fantastic experience! Zac was a pleasure to work with. Thoroughly explained everything and even saved me some money. I highly recommend this facility. It’s beautiful maintained and I feel confident my items will be safe.
