Thanks Blinds To Go for great service and for the beautiful motorized blinds. My sale person Peg did a great job and Tim who handled the installation. It was a great experience despite the warehouse sending the blinds without the brackets. I believe the manager ok the warehouse needs to put in better quality controls to insure products go correct. I recommend Blinds to Go and the staff at the Columbia Maryland store. K. Parks

I had a good experience with Blinds to Go for my unusually high and wide windows to my patio. Because of the height and heavy fabric, the mechanical operation is necessary, howecer the setup was initially overwhelmed and would not open/close completely, but the team worked with their suppliers to come up with a solution so that the whole thing works perfectly now. The installers and management were helpful and easy to work with.

I ordered blackout curtains for my bedroom and sheers to go on the sliding glass patio door. They were very expensive. When the curtains arrived the curtains for one of the windows was missing. The installer came without some of the parts he needed. He also did not know how to measure the height of the rods. He kept putting holes in the wall when he had to move the rods up because he didn't know where to put the rods. The blackout curtains don't darken the room because there is a 12 inch gap between the wall and the curtains. They put in cheap rods. There is no privacy and light comes into the room. They should have used blackout curtain rods that are made for blackout curtains. Once the curtains were reordered and ready to be installed the installer never showed up and didn't call to reschedule. That appointment had to be rescheduled. The salesperson did not inform me that there would be a 12 inch gap between the curtains and the wall. She could have told me there would be a lot of light coming into the room. If I had known that I would not have done business with them. I am so disappointed in this company.

25 years ago my wife and I were told by the salesman here "You don't look like shutter people." We were young, with a small child and in blue jeans. Somehow, every window in the Ellicott CIty house now has real wood shutters except one addition ... Now that we are old, rich, still in blue jeans, and with grandchildren I would never go back there to cover that one room because of the insolent attitude.

The one star is the for the initial consultation which went really well, but that’s where it all ended. There seems to be an overall lack of communication with this company — amongst each other and to its customers. In addition, it seems like getting your money is their only concern while their service is lackluster and false advertising. 1. First issue started with the installer installing our blinds at the incorrect height, causing us to having unnecessary holes in our window. Installer had to ask me what height the blinds needed to be installed. This should have been communicated with the installer prior to installation. 2. One of ceullar shades couldn’t be installed because the window measurer didn’t measure the window accurately, resulting in a new order having to be placed and additional wait time to have the finished product. 3. The third and most detrimental issue was the false advertisement. We were told we could achieve blackout with the cellular shades. However, after installation, light was shining through on both sides of all windows. After sending the installer back out, he stated our windows are different sizes at the top and bottom and their policy is to use the smallest measured size. Several issues here: * We were never informed our windows were different sizes after the window measuring appointment — something that you would think a company would inform you of prior to installation. * Additionally, we weren’t informed of their policy to go with the smallest measured window size, thus making black out impossible by creating gaps on the wider parts of the window. Had we known this information prior to installation, we would have gone a different route. Since they do not offer refunds, we asked if just the bedroom shades could be reinstalled with an outside mount to block the sunlight, we were told it would be an additional $1200. So after spending $6000, we were asked to cough up $1200 more to fix an issue that could have been prevented had proper communication happened and not false advertisement. Long story short, go with a different company that actually honors their “customer satisfaction guarantee”, practice good business ethnics, and is not out to get your money.
