- DMDeirdre McIntyreDec 17, 20251.0My mother purchased the Best Home Furnishings #1AP24 Sondra Power Space Saver Recliner. It says its designed for petite users. She is a small woman, and if the recliner isn't fully closed, it can tip her out. It has also tipped out a bigger 30-something year old. Also, if you apply a very little bit of weight to the front, like when a cat jumps up on the chair, it also will tip my mother out. Chestertown Furniture will not take back the recliner. They suggested bolting it to the floor. Mom's been shopping at this store for a long time, and I'm really disappointed with the response. They say this is operator error. They will not take it back because they'd have to sanitize it to meet Maryland law, and they aren't licensed to spray them. No discussions of restocking fees, just "we cannot do anything for you" from the owner. This has been a really disapponting, expensive, time wasting exercise trying to get them to make this right.
