I’m not sure of his name, but he is an older African man who consistently appears busy and visibly annoyed when customers stop him to ask simple questions. During my most recent visit, I asked a basic question about whether an item was on sale, since there was a sale on picture frames throughout the store. When I selected a frame that wasn’t included, instead of offering clarification or assistance, he responded, “Well, was there a sign next to it that said it was on sale?” and then walked off. The tone and lack of customer service were unnecessary and unprofessional. After experiencing this behavior more than once, I felt it was important to finally leave a review. I’ve never encountered this type of attitude at the Laurel, Maryland location, where the staff are consistently helpful and welcoming. As a business owner myself, I understand how much customer service matters. My business continues to run successfully because I treat people with respect and patience. A store manager sets the tone for the entire location, and unfortunately, this behavior makes shopping here unpleasant. I hope Hobby Lobby leadership takes this feedback seriously and addresses the customer service concerns at this location.
