He was upfront about costs, which I appreciated. While hiring someone to do this kind of thing is more expensive than doing it solo, the lack of stress made it worth it. The product was beautiful and I did not wait very long (3 weeks) after ordering to installation. All around, it was a very efficient and worthwhile experience.

After moving into a new home I contacted Mark for custom blinds - he responded immediately and came over the next day for measurements. He took a large cash deposit on 8/10 (75% of the total price - he gave a large discount if you pay in cash). Blinds were expected to arrive within 4 weeks. Since 8/10 he’s been completely non-responsive. The few responses we’ve gotten make no sense - on 9/5 he claims the blinds have shipped, but then on 9/15 they are still in production? I should have been smarter and not given such a large deposit. Learn from my mistake! DO NOT use Mark/Budget Blinds of Longmeadow. Messages from Mark attached for reference. UPDATE 10/5/25: Still no update from Mark, but a virtual personal assistant(?) in Michigan reached out after this review was posted. She told me our order will be ready in 3 weeks. She agreed Mark's messages make no coherent sense but didn't have an explanation. If the blinds show up in 3 weeks that would be 12 weeks for an order estimated 4 weeks. The annoying part is we really wouldn't have cared 4 weeks vs 12 weeks but expected an update from the salesman who required a 75% cash deposit. Do yourself a favor and avoid this scam. The whole situation is such a disaster it's almost comical. Don't make my mistake!
