- MHMia HartFeb 20, 20261.0“I would not recommend purchasing appliances from Lowe’s. My daughter purchased a $900 washing machine, and just eight months later it stopped draining. When she contacted the store, she was told they could not come out to look at it because she lives in an apartment. I recently purchased a $2,800 refrigerator, and the ice maker was broken at the time of delivery. I was advised to wait 24–25 hours for it to begin making ice. After four days with no ice, I called back and was told I only had 48 hours to report delivery issues. As a result, I was forced to go through the manufacturer’s warranty process. It has now been over a month, and I still do not have a working ice maker. When I first called the store, I waited on hold for a manager for 15 minutes. I eventually hung up and called back, explaining that I had been on hold. I was then told the manager was not in and the assistant manager had just left for lunch. The lack of urgency, accountability, and customer service has been extremely disappointing, especially considering the amount of money we have spent.”

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
