- MMMichaelSep 11, 20233.0Yes the key works. But $10.00 for a key is high when even going to a local lock smith would have cost half of that. On top of that it’s an extra $2.99 for the machine to clean off the burrs and metal shavings from the key after the cut. This has been a standard practice by any place that has ever cut keys for me in the past. Lesson learned. Next time I’ll use a hardware store or lock smith.
