My husband and I went in to purchase a wicker egg chair (already assembled and weighing around 50 pounds). When it came time to check out, the cashier kindly asked the front-end manager if we could just bring the tag to the register so the chair could be rung up. Instead of offering any assistance, the manager very rudely snapped, “If they want it, they will have to carry it to the register. These people are idiots.” My husband was not struggling, but he was clearly having some difficulty moving such a large, heavy piece of furniture to the front. Rather than showing any professionalism or customer service, the manager chose to insult us right in front of the staff and other customers. We expected better treatment and respect, especially when making a large purchase. We won’t be returning to this location, and I sincerely hope corporate addresses this manager’s behavior because no customer should be treated this way.
