- RSRachel SalanskySep 6, 20213.0I am an IDA evacuee and I used the KeyHero service to send a digital key to my friend so they could enter my house while I was away. While it did eventually work, it was really hard to figure out how to send the digital key. The website only explains how to use a key sent to you, as does the kiosk. I had to ask a friendly customer who had just made a copy of his key, and stumbled upon the option to save a digital copy. In order to get the digital key you must make a hard copy of your key first, then it will prompt you to get your digital copy, which the kiosk sends in an email, which you can further email to other people. Not even store employees were aware of this service or how to do it. I would have given 5 stars because I did get my key sent, and that was wonderful in this desperate situation. But without the help of a customer who happened to be there i wouldn’t have been able to figure it out.
