Purchased an item and also utilized Lowe's installation service. The folks in the store were very polite and helpful, and gave me the date of the installation. Great, earlier than I expected. I stayed home from work and waited. And waited. And waited. Until finally I receive a text that says I've now been scheduled for tomorrow. I call the installation contractor... nothing they can do. I call the Lowe's store... nothing they can do. No compensation, or even an apology. Thing is, I wouldn't have minded having to wait, I would simply have liked the team to arrive on the agreed upon date. I realize this is a 3rd party contractor, but if you're utilizing them, they represent your business too, and you're responsible for their actions. I'll certainly look elsewhere for future home-improvement purchases.

Very disappointed with Lowes paint department. I bought 10 gallons of Valspar signature flat. I needed two more gallons several weeks later, but the paint didn’t match. It’s close, but I still had to paint entire rooms over again. Very aggravating.

I purchased an electric range with a Lowes protection plan about 2 years ago. My oven is not working correctly. I filed a claim and Preferred Appliance came promptly. The service person called Whirlpool who said the unit was unrepairable. Preferred Appliance sent the report to Lowe’s Protection Plan and said they should respond in 2-3 days. I waited over a week and nothing. I went online with a chat. At first they said they have no claim. After arguing with them they suddenly said they found the claim. Then they said they are waiting for Preferred Appliance to send the report. Again after arguing with them they suddenly found the report. They said they needed 2-3 days to process the claim and I would get an email with a settlement.
Waited another week and nothing. Another chat. Same thing, can’t find the claim, no report, found everything and they will make the claim top priority.
Waited 4-5 days and was finally able to speak to a person. Same thing. Can’t find the claim, no report, etc.
They were to call Preferred Appliance and contact me in a less than an hour. Waited 2 hours and called Preferred Appliance. They have not been contacted. No one from Lowe’s Protection Plan has called back.
I have bought many appliances from Lowe’s over the last 40 years. I will never buy another from them. I have spent over 40 hours on the phone and it has been constant frustration and still have not received a settlement. Meanwhile my oven still does not work correctly.
