  What a waste of our money and time. Signed a 1 year contract because they stated they would get up into our attic and check for activity and to setup traps and bait. 6 months in they’ve never gone up in the attic other then poking their head up in the hole because he was scared of what could be up in the attic and then took the poison we had bought ourselves and threw handfuls where most of the poison fell back threw the hole and left it laying all over the clothes and the floor in the bottom of the closet that our dogs could of gotten ahold of and make them sick or worse. They make sure to take their monthly payment but only come out once every couple of months. When we schedule an appointment they change the date last minute without consulting us. They are very unreliable and happy to take our money without doing their job correctly. DO NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT! At this point we are contacting the attorney general to resolve this matter and to report this to the Better Business Bureau. So in 6 months they’ve only been out your home 3 times when the contract states they come out once a week for the first month and then 1 time a month every month so they should of been here a total of 9 times. So we’ve paid $270 for them to show up only 3 times.

  Canceling Aptive has been a nightmare. I tried to cancel about a month ago and was told my card was removed (it wasn’t) and that I couldn’t cancel yet because I was on auto-renew — I was instructed to call back at the beginning of the year. When I did exactly that: • The support email I was told to use is no longer monitored • Another email says they don’t handle cancellations • I was told to call, but live agents were unavailable due to the New Year holiday • All while I’m receiving texts about a future service appointment Every path leads to a dead end, and canceling feels intentionally difficult. If you’re considering Aptive Pest Control, be aware: signing up is easy, canceling is not. At this point, I’m not sure who the bigger pest is — Aptive or the ants.
