I'm a third generation GC and my family has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with Lowe's over the past 20 years. It was bad enough when they changed the commercial account discount from 10% to 5%, but they have had an entire year to work. The bugs out of the new system for LAR transactions and it's worse now than it's ever been. The amount of time that I spend standing in line at the PRO checkout desk has quadrupled. THE NEW SYSTEM IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE AND 100% UNNECESSARY. Literally everyone hates it. Customers and employees!! MENARDS offers an 11% rebate on everything in their store and they have much better inventory. Lowe's used to be more convenient, but at this point it's not even a contest so it looks like my family's business will be moving across the street. I need to make money so I can feed my family and I can't do that if I spend half my day stand in line at Lowe's. Hopefully the corporation will lose so much money they'll have to make a change, but I guess when you're a multi-billion dollar corporation, you can probably afford to bite the hand that feeds you for quite a while. Absolutely disgusting.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
