    Avoid this place for anything outside of traditional retail items! Terrible, TERRIBLE culture that clearly starts at the top. I’ve tried to get some doors purchased and installed. There has not been one aspect of this project that has gone well or as planned. Long story short, stopped in a month after getting the project started to talk with the store manager since he hadn’t called when asked. Then I had to retell the story to him, he took notes which was great but guess what? Been another week, no call, no resolution, no doors. It’s been a month and a half and not even a call to say “hey, we can’t do this project”. Their model of customer service is to just ghost you. I was a fairly loyal Lowes customer, even with a neighbor that worked for Home Depot. But if the Store Manager can’t even keep his word, I cant expect it from anyone else. Culture is a reflection of leadership, and this stores leadership needs improvement. Update: I can't say enough good about Mitch in the Door Dept. He took the reigns, made the phone calls that were needed and completely resolved the issue so far. Even if this falls apart down the line, he did everything right in my book and deserves the recognition.

    Love the outstanding customer service I received from Christopher in lumber. Asked him where a specific item was and not only did he stop what he was doing but showed me where to find it and helped me gather the items on my list. Truly grateful for his time as it saved me from being overwhelmed. He even asked if I needed help loading my vehicle. Not everyday you get an employee that truly cares about you as the customer. Great job Lowes for having Christopher as a great example of humanity.

    I am on a deadline and scheduled a kitchen consultation for new cabinets, counter, backsplash, and sink. This was the Shawnee, Kansas location. I had to make arrangements for this appointment, and when I arrived, Susan was still with customers. However, as I sat 5 feet away from her and these customers, she never looked my direction and it was only me, her, and these two customers discontinued on for 25 minutes. I got up and left and went to the front where a customer service person apologized and went back to let her know. I received a text reminder about this appointment and I am sure that Susan knew she had an appointment at 11:30. The customer service rep came up and said, “She said she’s sorry, she did not realize she had an appointment.” Well, things happen, so I went back there. The customers were standing up, but the gentleman had another question and both the husband and wife sat back down with her; she never looked my direction as I’m once again standing 5 feet away in a bright red coat and I’m hard to miss. She didn’t acknowledge me. Did not say, “ I’ll be right with you in a minute.” Nothing. As I watched Susan pick up the phone to inquire something for them, I left again. Wasted hour. I’ve built three homes in the past and I know what cabinets cost and I had cash, no financing needed to pay for them. Would she have given me the time of day if I was a man? Who knows, That may not be a fair statement, but I always have to wonder what the deal is when people watch money walk out the door and don’t seem to care.
