I ordered a chest freezer online yesterday for pickup and spent almost $200 just for them to not have it in stock and when I called they told me that they have to look for it because they don't think that they have it in stock and they only have the display and it took them 2 hours of looking before I got a confirmation email that it was not in stock. So when I clicked on the email and tried to log in the site kept telling me it could not find my order so I had to download the app just to access my account and cancel the order because the store did not schedule for me to pick it up at a store that had it in stock. This is my first time shopping at Lowe's and will be my last now I see why all my friends and family tell me they go to the Home Depot

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
