This review is for Lowe's installation services set up through this store. I felt compelled to write this review as we have used this Lowe's store for previous jobs and had good experiences but since the installation service has been moved out of the local store, I can no longer recommend using Lowes. Just get your own quotes and leave Lowe's out if it.
We contracted with Lowe's to have a couple sections of fence (120 linear feet total) replaced and the installer they subtracted with was incompetent and the Lowe's Installation Team was no help at all. After 2 months wasted, the Installer not understanding the project plan causing a denied permit, and Lowe's completely failing to address concerns, I cancelled the contract.
We paid Lowes and signed the contract and we didn't hear anything for a month, not from the Installer or Lowes. Not until the city copied me on an email to the installer that the permit was denied because they used a Google maps screenshot and drew rough lines on it that did not match the project plan approved with the Lowes sale rep and did not match our property lines. I tried to contact the installer about correcting the permit and did not hear back. I called Lowes a week later and the installation office tried to convince me that the installer was still waiting for the permit. I had to inform them that the permit was denied a week prior and the installer still had not contacted me.
A week after this, the installer finally contacted me asked me to provide them with the project plan from Lowe's. You know, the one they should have had when they subcontracted with Lowes in the first place. A week after this, I get an email from the installer that they updated the project plan with the city and will keep me informed. I was not copied on any communications with the city so did not know if they actually sent the correct project plan and the permit has not been updated with the city.
All this took us to 60 days after payment and contract and nothing to show for it but lost time.
Lowe's may get you the lowest quote, but once they subcontract with an installer, they have no idea nor care what happens with your project, no mater how bad the installer is.

I’ve been shopping at this Lowe’s for many years, but recently the experience has gone downhill. Every time I come in, I’m constantly approached by people trying to sell extra services — not actual Lowe’s employees, but vendors disguised as store staff. It’s extremely distracting and makes it impossible to just focus on shopping for what I need. I go to stores like this to get work done efficiently, not to be chased around by salespeople. Home Depot next door doesn’t do this, and that’s where I’ll be taking my business from now on.

As I was standing near a stack of area room rugs, I ask an employee that was walking near me if I could find out the price of the top rug. His response was, he didn't work in that area & would have no idea. Then continued to walk away from me. No offer to get help for me, or even tell me where/how to get help. I was so surprised by the unprofessionalism, & disdain for my interest in a $200 plus single item, I decided my business was not needed and walked straight out the exit.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
