    I had been struggling all day trying to install a toilet and was completely overwhelmed. After realizing I needed to go back to the store for the right valve, I asked if someone could help me who really knew this stuff. That’s when Tom came over at the Elkhart Lowe’s off of County Rd 6. From the moment he started talking to me, he immediately put me at ease. I was already feeling embarrassed because I’m 37 and never learned how to do things like this growing up, but Tom never made me feel judged or dumb. He listened, asked the right questions, and helped me understand what I needed to do with patience and kindness. Because of him, I left feeling confident enough to finish the job, and I did. It may have been a small thing to him, but it made a big difference to me. Thank you, Tom, for your professionalism, empathy, and genuine care for customers. I hope you get the recognition you deserve from your leadership team!

    Staff was very friendly, greeting me right away. Their app helps you find stuff so easily around the store! Lastly their pro program is amazingly done! Easy to apply, and the savings are very abundant.

    Placed an order for a dryer that was supposed to be shipped and installed the next day. I chose that dryer specifically because of the quick turn around. I understand that Lowe's installation instructions are for me to uninstall my current dryer and have it removed. I am recovering on back surgery, so I got some people to come to my house and remove my current dryer. Then I coordinated someone else to pick up that dryer. Now my wife and I wait for our excited new Dryer. Unfortunately that delivery never happened. It said it was delayed ... I get it, things happen. So I call to get a better idea of when my dryer will be delivered. After being on the phone for a few hours and being transferred multiple times, I finally get information that my dryer will be shipped from the Elkhart location (about 50 minutes away). However, when I call this location, they are unable to process the order. So they tell me I have to cancel the order and start over... Now it'll be a week before I can get that dryer ... unless I come in and get it myself (but remember, I am recovering from back surgery). The gentleman on the phone was nice, and I realize it wasn't his fault, but an error happened somewhere with Lowe's department and somehow I am the one stuck without a dryer. I called customer service and they offered me a $10 e-gift card ... I also ordered carpet from Lowes, and the installation was TERRIBLE. Love the carpet, but the "free" installation of it was so poor. They put carpet over vents, and upstairs there is a lump where there is an obvious object underneath the carpet. I want to like Lowe's ... but I think I am done. I am going to have to take my business elsewhere, unless something changes.

    Service sucks. If you need help finding something, you're on your own. No employees will even say hi or offer even though you've walked past them several times. You have to use self checkout or the associates complain the entire time they're ringing up your items. When you use self checkout, God forbid your item doesn't have a barcode on it. You'll be waiting for 10 minutes while they try to figure out what it is, despite you telling them several times. When they inevitably can't figure it out, you'll have to walk all the way to the other side of the store to take a picture of the label yourself because the person working in that section is too busy sitting around doing nothing to go look at it. You're better off going to Home Depot or Menards.
