- RZRong ZhengDec 4, 20251.0I checked everything upon opening the door of my unit after I backed to town from travel during summer (end of Aug). The lock and door seemed fine when I opened it. HOWEVER, extremely oddly, I lost a Sony RX100 VII, a very compact and expensive camera, and ipad pro 14” and its smart-keyboard and case. I put all these in a huge box together with all other devices (monitors, mac mini, thinkpad etc). I’m pretty sure my small camera was placed at the bottom of the box covered by other stuff. I put the box in the middle area of unit. I tried to find my camera and ipad pro after moving out of my unit and unpacking everything at home. I went over every box and every bag like six or seven times. No luck, all absolutely gone. The whole thing was extremely absurd to me: the lock was all fine….so what on earth happened?? It seemed that someone carefully browsed my collections and precisely picked things that matched his/her “taste”, even remembered to get the smart-keyboard and original case for the ipad pro :-). Dude or Miss, sadly you missed the charger for my precious sony RX100 VII with all your careful cherry-picking in my unit :-) I had zero idea what could have happened to my unit. The next day after I loaded my unit, the staff called me and told me that my unit door was incorrectly locked, but everything looked fine (neat and organized), I was not in the town so she nicely helped me change a new lock. So??? there was a thief checking every unit everyday trying his/her luck and hoping someone incorrectly lock the door, and just precisely took away very high-end stuff matching his/her taste??? Absolutely the absurdist. Won’t put anything more than ten bucks in storage again :-(.
