- EKErin Kregor6 days ago2.0I ordered my third round of elfa closet products with install, the design service was wonderful as always however it’s now March and I’m still struggling to get install scheduled after having it be cancelled bc not all items were available. I had to call the day before my scheduled install because they never emailed that products were ready for pickup which then made them realize not everything was in stock. Now 1.5 months later the items are ready but I can’t get pickup/install confirmed. I know it isn’t the store employees fault but they don’t recognize, apologize or do any sort of acknowledgment that it’s been so difficult. My first 2 closet installs were totally seamless but I won’t go back again after this experience.

After walking out of their Schaumburg location, where I found out the hard way that the online in-stock quantities were significantly overstated, I called ahead to make sure they have the quantity I need at the Northbrook store. The person on the phone wasn't all too interested in helping me ensure I'm not making the drive for nothing, and suggested an online order, at the same time indicating that it might not be ready for pick-up anytime soon. She eventually "graciously" agreed to hold the items for an hour. I did get the items, but when I got to the register, they did not apply the volume discount as advertised and even charged a higher price than displayed on the single item. I showed them their own website that offers the discount, and yet it took another 15 minutes to get a manager's attention and finally apply the discount. All 3 people, with whom I dealt today, were dismissive, indifferent, and unfriendly. I hope it was just a bad moment, and that their weekend gets better, but on the off-chance this is a systemic problem at the store, I thought I'd leave a note. Thank you for the containers.
