  I recently purchased a La-Z-Boy power recliner (Model 10X704, SKU L485505984, upholstery code B166278, polyester “Mahogany” finish). This was a customized version of the model, where I selected the fabric and finish. The shopping experience itself was very good. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and patient while I took time trying out different chairs, which I appreciated. That said, I’m disappointed with the comfort and build quality of the chair. The cushioning feels minimal, like thin foam over a wood frame. In several areas you can actually feel the underlying structure, making it feel firm and uneven rather than plush. There are spots on the seat and arms that feel like they have little to no padding. The seating position also isn’t well balanced. The front edge sits too high, which puts pressure under the thighs and hamstrings. After sitting for a while, this creates noticeable pressure points and discomfort. On top of that, the chair has already developed a spring ringing / metallic noise, and it’s less than six months old. That’s concerning from a durability standpoint. For the price and reputation, I expected a much more comfortable and solid product. While the in-store experience was positive, the chair itself falls short in comfort and perceived quality.

  Our La-Z-Boy experience was a good one. Our salesman Milo was very kind, patient and helpful to us. And on delivery day the drivers were very careful bringing in our new items, unwrapping and setting everything up in just the right places.. they even showed us how to work the remote control for the recliner.They double checked to make sure there were no scraps left behind. A good experience all around.

  Charles stayed late to help me load my elderly father’s new recliner into my car. It was greatly appreciated. Kate was an excellent salesperson who was knowledgeable about the fabrics and mechanisms. When we struggled to pair the remote, we received a helpful phone call with tips from Angel the next morning. Thanks to all for your help. My dad is very satisfied with his purchase!
