  I had a very disappointing and unsafe experience at this Hobby Lobby location today. I purchased a height-adjustable desk that was extremely heavy (60lbs). As a small woman of 120 pounds, it was clearly not something I could safely manage alone. An employee helped load it onto a cart at checkout, but after that I received no assistance. While pushing the cart toward the exit, the desk became unstable and nearly tipped over multiple times. I audibly reacted several times while trying to regain balance. A female employee was standing directly in front of me near the cart area with her back turned, blocking my path. Despite the obvious difficulty and safety risk, she did not turn around, move, or offer help. There were no other customers in the area at the time. I then had to load the desk into my car by myself. This was extremely difficult and unsafe, and the cart eventually tipped over due to the weight imbalance. The only person who showed concern was another customer, who kindly asked if I needed help. I later learned that employees do provide assistance with loading heavy items, but only if a customer explicitly asks. In a situation where a customer is clearly struggling, basic awareness and initiative should not require a formal request. This was not just poor service — it was a safety issue. I hope this location improves staff training and awareness when customers are handling heavy merchandise.
