  Don't bother using this place. The staff here, Miguel in particular, is unprofessional. Every encounter I've had with him has been unpleasant to say the least. Times are bad enough to deal with rude people.

  Hello, My name is Mr. Earl D. Young and I rent out a space from the Extra Space Storage location at Cermak and Halsted. I have been renting since the 22nd of November of 2025. I have no problems with the staff (Alician and Miguel) lovely and professional individuals since I have been renting at this location. All praise goes to them for their excellent professionalism. I love how professional and pleasant both of them are to my and others when I am there at my storage unit I personally have not seen either of them get out of line with anyone (if they did they were doing their jobs to maintain the storage facility) I personally have a problem with all types of unwanted individuals (homeless, drug users, etc...) coming their and doing God knows what in the storage facility after the office closes It is very uncomfortable for a man or woman who needs to access their storage especially after the office closes at 6 P.M. C.S.T. I'm personally there after hours to access my unit I pay for (and during the day when the office is open) to obtain certain necessity items I need for the day and evening. As a customer I should not have to be subjected to unwanted individuals who do not have a storage unit there/who are not paying for a unit at the Cermak and Halsted location Especially, those who are homeless (I am homeless myself and I am not trying to be judgmental) but what I am saying is the Extra Space Storage facility is a place of business and not a hangout for those that truly should not be there Those individuals in my opinion make it very uncomfortable for actual paying customers to come in and take care of their storage business (making payments, coming in to speak with staff members pertaining to whatever issue or concern they have regarding renting storage space or their own personal storage unit issues, obtaining items that person may need from their personal storage unit) It is ridiculous in my opinion For the reason(s) I have just mentioned I think that there should be security available on site at all times to be assured that the particular Extra Space Storage is secure as well as Extra Space Storage's paying customers. One other issue I have is the possibility of extended hours for individuals to access their storage units especially after the office has closed Instead of the access hours being available up until 10 P.M. at a majority of your locations, corporate, the CEO, the owners seriously consider/allowing having paying customers access to their units well after 10 P.M. Corporate, the CEO, the owners truly don't know what an individual’s schedule is like and honestly who would want to carry necessity items that he or she may need throughout the day with them That is my thoughts and opinions about Extra Space Storage I personally have and I hope the changes could be considered to be made Sincerely Yours, Mr. Earl D.   I didn’t get a unit but Alician was so good at answering all my questions the location was just a bit far from me. But great customer service

  Ngl, the storage facility crew are two faced. One slip up and you are banned forever from their self righteous eyes. Super cheap storage and yet they pick out those whom they want to rent vs whom they deem worthy. Some clients have intercourse in the lockers but yet, one male staff visualizes it and the next morning, you are kicked out. I’m Definitely not into staying at this location.
