Lowes WAS ok. Their contractor was not. We were purchasing a new front door from Lowes. The gentleman that initially showed up was very pleasant and provided speedy responses. The contractor, Mike Bushell was rude and inconsistent. Had an appointment scheduled at a time I was not going to be home so I called and left a voicemail to let them know I would not be home. When I didn't hear back, I called again. He answered and when I asked if he received my voicemail, he rudely answered "I've got like 30 voicemails so no". I asked if we could reschedule because I wasn't going to be home, he said I didn't need to be home for the 2nd measurement. Then complained when I wasn't home after he said I didnt need to be home. The next time, I had a friend at the house waiting. Mike came around (supposedly) and was knocking on the front door and back door and there was no answer. But my friend would have heard it. Without additional conversation, Lowes canceled our door order, never told us. We'll be looking at Menards.

Had a great experience with charge person kris about a mower i bought. I thought it needed assembly but it was already done. He was very professional and explained the mower parts to me. Thank you kris for taking the time to do that. It was much appreciated!

I went to purchase hookups for a washer and dryer. No one asked if I needed help when I entered despite two employees stang there. I thought we'll I need to go to where the washers are. Of course the far back corner. I walk the appliance section looking for the parts I need. After wandering about I found some things but not all.i walked around for another 10 minutes looking for help. Frustrated, I yelled out "doesn't anybody work in this department?". A couple of minutes later this dude goes "uh, you need help?" Wow. He showed me some options for what I was looking for. Then said there less expensive options in aisle 13. So its cheaper to shop in illogical places within the store. And of course it was on the other side of the store. Cheaper, yes, minutely. At the checkout I felt like I was being suspected of shop lifting because your only option is self checkout. While I was checking out I expected the employees to ask if I found everything. They didn't. So I let them know arbitrarily "no I did not find everything I was looking for". She just stood there looking at me like excuse me. Then, even more negative experience. I push my cart to my vehicle where my dog was. I left the cart sitting by the passenger door on the driver's side. Walked around to the other side to make sure my dog was OK and give her some treats I just bought. Next thing I know this stranger is yelling a couple of parking rows over. I ignored it. Took care of my dog and started to go back to the driver side when I noticed the yelling guy is heading in my direction. This guy was half my age and a good 6-8 inches taller than me. Naturally I jump in my car and log the doors. He comes up to my car calling names. Saying i was an a-hole for not putting my cart away. What? I never got a chance to put it away because I feared foe my safety. Yeah not a good experience from start to finish. Never shopping there again. Hello Menards! Though your location is inconvenient at least I never have to deal with these types of issues.

Lowes has always been a place to shop especially because they care about their military personnel. However, that has all changed now since their customer service that they "Pride themselves as the best" could not help me. Instead I was told what i needed to do to get a refund. Story - I purchased a $1200.00 vanity, waited 3 weeks to be delivered, the package came completely damaged and unusable. I spent 2 hours on the chat bot trying to get a replacement because I am needing to start this bathroom remodel due to a pregnant wife about to pop. They told me they can offer 10% off (this is already what i get with my discount, felt like a slap in the face). They then said i can get a full refund if I take the time, money, and effort out of my day to haul this vanity back to my local Lowes. I then asked to speak to a manager, the manager said that the only other option is that they can have their lowes delivery people come pick it up. But he said "you will need to talk to them and get that scheduled and take more time out of your day to get your refund." So after 2-3 hours of customer service and just asking to get my money back i am STILL waiting to have a conversation with my local lowes in Bloomington to get a pick up and then would get my refund in 5-10 business days. I just do not understand how they are unable to refund my product so i can buy a new one with them. If the original is not returned in 30 days charge me back, i know amazon does this and homedepot. At the end of the day, the "best" customer service did nothing for me. Now i am responsible for doing the return even though Lowes sent me a damaged product that i cannot use. There was no additional offers of discounts or willingness to do the hard work for me. So bloomington lowes, is this what i should expect if i keep shopping with you?

Edit: Called the number in the response from the owner: Automated response that defaulted to giving me options about scheduling service on a product with a protection plan (no option to speak to a representative). Called back and said "speak to a representative" same thing. Called back and said "rebate" and it tried to automatically connect me to the rebate center that I have already contacted numerous times (see below). Called back and said "supervisor" and got the same thing about scheduling service. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. ORIGINAL POST: I was upsold on a dishwasher in November because of a rebate for installation (I was assured the rebate was on the dishwasher and it was the reason I ended up going with the more expensive model. The rep told me if I had issues with the claim to come in for help.) Initial claim was declined. Went back into the store and was told rebates are only through the rebate center, and they cannot help. It is now March, and I have resubmitted my claim four separate times and have needed to call the rebate center six times to eventually be told the dishwasher was not part of the promotion. I don’t appreciate the sales rep lying to get a larger sale, and I will not be shopping here in the future.
