My mom purchased a Christmas tree on final sale and realized right away, before leaving the store, that it wasn’t the tree she intended to buy and was likely placed in the wrong spot. She went to customer service immediately to ask about exchanging it, but was told it wasn’t allowed due to the final sale policy. I could understand this policy if she had left the store and returned later, but refusing to help a customer who noticed the error right away and was still inside the store feels unreasonable.

As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
