  Was at this Hobby Lobby today 2/24/26, though usually go to the one in Lombard (where service is much much better and prompt). I just stopped by because I was in the area and decided to drop in for some yarn to finish a project I’ve been working on - I thought I would be in and out of the store in about 10 minutes, I’m just getting one thing after all. But not at all. I got my yarn and got in line, there were already about four people ahead of me but I thought the line would go by fast. Five to ten minutes go by and the cashier is still trying to do something on the register that she can’t figure out and finally has someone else come to help, because she finally noticed that “the line is getting long so I need to ask for help,” but still takes a few more minutes to check out this customer. The line keeps getting longer and still only one register is open, even though there are two to three other employees at the front just hanging around doing nothing. After about 15 minutes of waiting they finally open up another register, but it seemed like the cashiers liked checking out customers slowly on purpose. I get that they want to give older women (like in their 60s) an opportunity to work and do something, but they are painfully slow at their jobs and they don’t seem to care at all about customer service nor customer satisfaction. Definitely do not recommend this location for its slowness and lack of awareness and attention to customer service, and will definitely not be coming back here again.

  I ususally do not write reviews on stores unless something is incredible or terribly wrong. In this case, this particular store was terribly wrong. Christmas week Hobby Lobby (HB) was having a 30% yarn sale. On 12/23/25 I bought 10 skeins of yarn in HB at their Lombard, IL store. In the choas of the day I did not notice at the time that I had not received the 30% off on the yarn. This must be a manual process at the register ( another concern for another time). I happened to be in south Naperville on 12/24/25 and thought since we are so close to this HB I will bbring the yarn and receipt and ask for a price adjustment. I have done this in the Lombard store in the past without a problem. Waited in line at the return register. The person behind the counter looked at what the merchandise and receipt. She told me to wait why she obtained a manager. That seemed strange, The manager tols me she could not give the price adjustment her in Naperville I had to go back to Lombard. What??? The reason she gave was ridiculous- the manager said that since I had not bought the yarn in Naperville/Aurora they could not verify my purchase since they did not have a video camera review of the original purpose. WHAT??? That is the most ridiculous story ever told. I did go back to Lombard. They were gracious, apologized for not utilizing the 30% discount originally and returned the money to the appropriate CC. At no time did they mention any security cameras. Lombard has taken back item bought at NPV/ Aurora in the past with out ANY complaints. It is unclear what is going on at this particular store however will NEVER go back there again!
