Every time I go here I search the item online for store availability first. And every time I leave disappointed, frustrated and annoyed because someone didnt do the job theyre paid to do and match inventory. So I go across the street to home depot and leave with the item in just a few minutes. They might as well close this location down honestly.

Pro desk is the most unprofessional. Let you stand around while they discuss holiday plans with reps. Priorities are not on the customer. RP lumber was in and out 15min. Spent 2 trips and few hours at Lowe’s Alton store and got nothing. Support smaller businesses who actually care about your money.

I rented a chain saw on October 5, 2025, from tool rental at 203 pm I drove to job site the saw started and the chain immediate came off with one time using it and would not start again after 20 minutes of trying to reset the chain.
I drove back to the store to find the tool depart closed and door locked… at 308 pm , went yo customer service desk to ask for help….at 328 pm and get Tiffany you is supposed to be a manager of the store… who doesn’t know how to check in a saw or use tool department computers, I take a picture of schedule because there where 0 zero employees available for tool rental help….
When there was supposed to be coverage.
I asked Tiffany to please expect the check in of saw and stop my time since I had no way of receiving help from tool rental department… because of no employee available, I was told that Hanna was scheduled left for the day because a friend was having baby, no coverage for her was set in place…. I lost money for my employees that has no tools to finish their tree job.
Fast forwarding today,
I am now being decriminalised against for having a problem with a rented tool that I paid for and paid for insurance for the safety of both.
I got a call from
Lowes tool department today 3 days later telling me I’m banded from renting any further tools from lowes because I complained about customer service I could not receive because of no employee available assistance to help serve a waiting customer with a problem. In the same phone call my significant was told he can rent anytime. Just I could no longer….rent anything.
I pick up tools , as a project manager…. He uses the same tools…. I feel like Tiffany has agenda for discrimination on me…. I’ve done nothing but be polite and spend lots of money at lowes….
She personally told me I might want to go rent from some where else if I wasn’t happy , I wasn’t happy because of her service….
It was a burden for her to do her job…. Correct me if I am wrong….. I was told from the tool rental guys Mike and Doug …. They where just having the discussion of the managers not knowing how to use there software so they can have help or quality way of taking care of there customers….
You can feel the unhappiness of the employees because of the lack of help they receive from there management stafff… you can look at my last 6 years of shopping at this….store I spend 1,0000 of dollars and this is how she is treating me…. Unexceptable…..WOW!!!!!!

Shopped at Lowe's in Alton Illinois had a delivery of 15 bundles of insulation 9 bundles of rock wool they said the delivery would come between 8am -12pm I took off work for them to arrive at 5pm then when it arrived it's all wrong we had open 5 bags before we noticed that the rock wool was the wrong size so I returned everything but when I ask Jason the manager since I paid for 2x6 and they delivered 2x4 can I get a price difference he said no and walked away he was very rude

So I take time on my lunch break to come to the Alton Lowe's store to help my mother get gutter guards we asked for assistance when we get there I kid you not we waited 25 minutes without exaggerating and nobody still came after asking twice so after all that time we figured it out on our own and found what we needed unfortunately my mother bought the products at the store I did not want her to because it really truly seemed like they did not want our business I understand you have something going on outside at lunch time for your employees but don't forget your store is still open and remember I was on my lunch break also so now I go back to work pissed off no lunch and you guys get our $160 something dollars in gutter guards money I really wish my mother went across the street another unsatisfied customer very unhappy
