That bring said they were able to work me in a day earlier than originally planned. The tech (Matt) was very helpful and answered all my questions. They also cleaned up afterwards.

But when I talked to the same guy when he came to do the repair and he showed me these two super small parts that took him 5 minutes to replace, he said that yeah maybe not replacing them could lead to problems but MOSTLY they would make the dryer quieter. He was very much more definite about the imminent danger of not replacing them when he came for the initial service call. And the dryer was only making these small chirping sounds, nothing that was the least bit loud or irritating. I could live with that sound indefinitely. When he showed me these two super “worn” parts, they didn’t look worn to me and they looked like they maybe cost 50 cents each, if that. So I feel like we paid $449 service fee for $1 worth of parts and five minutes of labor. I’m tempted to report this to the Better Business Bureau. I feel totally ripped off.
