After gaining a bit of mattress literacy, regardless of where you decide to purchase, you will be capable of making an educated selection or configuration of a mattress for your specific preference and needs.   I purchased a mattress from Leisure Mattress Factory ~ 5 years ago. Construction was fantastic, slept great, but it was our first mattress with memory foam and both my wife and I slept hot! We went back and talked to the owner about our problem and were considering a latex topped mattress. He gave us another option. Instead of purchasing a new mattress and he volunteered to replace the memory foam with latex for a reasonable charge. We accepted, it took about 2 hours to complete the work, and we are now sleeping great. This is the type of service and value you get from purchasing from a local business. I would highly recommend the Leisure Mattress Factory for your next mattress purchase. You won't be disappointed.

  I have been really happy with my experience at Leisure Mattress. If you are in the market for a new mattress, go to the r/mattress subreddit on reddit. They have a great buyers guide at the top of the page. A couple of the most important recommendations is to find a company that uses high density poly foam of at least 1.8 lbs per cubic foot and is up front with the number of coils used in the mattress. I found Mike at Leisure mattress to be completely up front with the materials used in their mattresses (1.9 lb/cu.ft. foam and 1047 coils in the coil unit of a queen sized mattress.) From everything I could tell, Leisure Mattress stacks up really well with the buyers guide, and I enthusiastically recommend them. We made the wrong choice on our first mattress, it ended up being to firm, but since we had purchased the mattress protector we had the choice of returning the original and having a new softer one built, and the second one has been great. Mike is great to work with and will let you lay on mattresses without bothering you for as long as you want, while being helpful in any questions you have and guiding you in the right direction. If you live in the Treasure Valley, don't buy a cheaply made mattress at any of the big box mattress stores, go straight to Leisure!
