  A crew from Haag happened to give us a quote the same day as another service for branches still hanging in two large trees from the derecho. They were almost exactly half the price. Communication was a little slow but thats seems fair based on the workload around town. They were even kind enough to schedule when my kids were home to watch. Very professional. Took down more than expected (found more dead once up in the trees). I will absolutely use them again.

  Haag Tree Service did a great job removing my tree stump to the depth they were comfortable with since a couple cables were buried under the tree. After he left I was digging some roots out and snapped an unmarked cable so I had the buried cable people come out and remark the buried cables. They said the portion of the stump that had cables under could be ground down another 4 to 6 inches. Called Haag and they came back out for a very minimal charge and ground the stump down even more and were able to grind more roots. Best price and quality work. I would definitely use them again in the future.

  Not impressed. Got a quote and was told I was on the list. Looked out my window one Saturday morning weeks later to find some guy grinding away with no notice. Good thing we were home because he thought he was only grinding two stumps and charging us for three. Looked out the window later to find him loading up his machine. I went out to inspect the work and found half the stump still there above grade. He threw his clip board and stomped back to the truck for the grinder muttering under his breath. Again saw him "finishing" and pointed out the other stump he had barely ground. He said his machine was broken and it was the best he could do, then tried telling me I owed him a check. I told him I would pay online and called the office the next week asking if they were planning on coming back to finish. Never heard back until the owner calls my wife instead of me wondering where his payment is. I would suggest finding someone else.
