The appliance group, Jacob specifically as he is the manager?, and stephanie Were fantastic. We have bought washer, dryer, microwave in the last year. There were issues with the mfg product and Lowes stepped up to make it right. Can not say enough about the people. GE? Another story.

I purchased carpet from Lowe's in Cedar Rapids, IA and a person came out to measure at my house, I was home as is required and he did a thorough job and measured the full area to carpet, he even asked me to put my hand in a few places to use the laser to measure with. Carpet was ordered and install date was set. Installer was supposed to arrive between 8am and 11 am, arrived a bit after 12:30. He got to work and then realized there was not enough carpet for the job. I told him I was here and the measurement guy went all the way down the hall, which is where the measurements were inaccurate. So, he said he would contact Lowe’s, and this would be fixed with no additional cost to me. I was disappointed but understood things happen. Two of his helpers showed up and started laying the pad, I was staying out of their way. All the sudden the boss was gone and never came back. The two workers finished the job and said here is some extra carpet to complete the hallway which is to be done another day. I said the boss said there wasn't enough carpet delivered, so that made no sense. I asked them to just complete the job since apparently there was another small roll and they said no, we were told to complete it at another time, they left. All of that was confusing that first there wasn't enough carpet then boss left and magically there is extra carpet.
So after 6 or 7 calls within the week from date of install I received no calls and only answering machines. Got a call today and was told someone will contact me in 2 or 3 days. I explained the above incident and was told that I was wrong and that from his perspective none of this actually happened. How does someone answering calls that had nothing to do with this situation tell me that they don’t agree with my perspective, they were not even at my house. Then I was told that they should talk to the installer, which is what they should do from the start, I am the customer. I pay the bill. I will never do a special order with Lowe’s again – absolutely terrible!!!
Pictures attached – pad is layed to end of hallway – as the job was planned to be done. Carpet ends in the middle of a bedroom door and a small closet is across from it – not possible to be correct measurements. FACT

I purchased a dryer online through the Cedar Rapids, IA Lowe’s. I also purchased the required installation kit that qualified for free installation. They showed up two hours before the scheduled deliver time so I wasn't home when they arrived. My wife was not aware of the arrangement since I told her I would be there when they arrived, so she was caught unprepared.
The crew did not install the appliance and removed my old dryer without authorization.
The store claimed it came from a warehouse and gave me a voicemail number that never answers. The lady I spoke to at the store was unconcerned and unwilling to help. When I told her this service was unacceptable and would be taking my business elsewhere in the future, she told me "That's fine".
Hours later, the manager of the warehouse that delivered it reached out and said they would be in contact within 24 hours to arrange the return of my taken appliance. I told him that was unacceptable and only after I threatened to call the police, the crew “returned” my old dryer by dumping it in my driveway near the street — not in my home, not installed.
This was not the service I paid for and it’s flat-out negligent. I want this complaint on record for Lowe’s failure to provide contracted installation and their unauthorized removal of my property.
I've been a long-time customer of Lowe's and have spent nearly ten thousand dollars there in the past few years. Due to this terrible customer service experience, they will never see another dime of my money.
I am requesting a formal apology and refund for the installation kit I did not need but was forced to purchase to receive "free installation".

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
