Over the past 28 years I have probably spent over a 150 grand on home renovations at Lowe’s. I recently purchased over 800 square feet of carpet and Stainmaster padding for my upstairs bedrooms to install while I’m on vacation. When I picked up my order I was concerned that I didn’t have enough padding for the job and called the flooring department. The flooring specialist confirmed that I had over enough for the job and that he ordered 135 linear feet. I told him I think he only ordered 135 square feet but he once again told me he was sure I had enough. Well, now I’m on vacation and get ready to start my project and I get ready to lay the padding and I do not have enough and need to get more. The flooring specialist told me that he would have to order it and it would take two weeks therefore I will not be able to do project on vacation and now have rolls of carpet in my dining room and hallway. The only response was “I’m sorry I screwed up” followed by “do you want to buy our crappy padding that isn’t warrantied by Stainmaster??? I stressed the fact that this is the only time I have to do this and asked if they could contact the Stainmaster padding supplier and put a rush order on it. They said no but we’re sorry for the inconvenience. I was furious at that point and will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Now I have to buy padding from somewhere else and lose the warranty on my carpet because of their screw up.

I had all new windows installed in my house. I wanted them to look new, but the installer used the wood he had removed when he installed the new windows and was a totally different color. He damaged our furniture, he damaged our steps, and he did not seem to care at all about the finished product. When I pointed out that one board was an inch and a half short, he said it must have been that way before. I asked him if it was wrong before why would you do it wrong again? He said they don't get paid enough to do things right. Lowes wrote me a check for $1500 but I would rather have nice looking windows.

For your protection, only the cardholder or an authorized user of the credit card may pick up the order.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
