Alex at SafeStore Staines was very friendly and helpful taking great care to understand my storage needs and make recommendations. Alex took the time to understand my circumstances and showed me several different storage room sizes explaining the best deals on offer. Alex was exactly spot on and I highly recommend Alex and SafeStore Staines. Very modern secure facilities which were kept tidy and clean with many trollies and pump forklift available.

I’m not in the habit of leaving bad reviews but after my last experience with Safestore Staines I felt I had to warn others. We have used them previously and had not had any issues but sadly this year was different. I made our booking over the phone as I’d suffered a stroke so it was easier to talk to someone. I spoke to a lady and explained that my daughter only needed the unit for three weeks and was told it would have to be a minimum of four weeks, which I said wasn’t a problem and paid for the four weeks. When I went into the office on the day my daughter was having her items collected I was met by two rather rude men who barely lifted their heads up. One in particular insisted that I had to pay for at least another month and then went on to say I hadn’t given the “two week notice”, which is something I knew nothing about. When I questioned it he made me feel very uncomfortable and sat there smiling in a sarcastic manner, telling me that they had my card details. I asked for the details of Head Office and at first claimed he didn’t know the number and he scribbled down the email address of Staines !!! I then told them that they did not have permission to use my card and should they try it would be classed at theft. I have been trying to resolve this issue since I have come home and repeatedly asked where it states that we have to give notice and so far they haven’t been able to provide any proof. I’ve asked them to listen to the phone call from when the booking was made and they have refused to do this too, instead they have sent me threatening emails saying that it will be passed to bailiffs. For someone who has suffered a stroke, having these threats made is not acceptable, especially when all I am asking for is some form of proof that I was told about this so called 14 days notice.

We booked online, and went to the Staines branch, where we met team member 1152. He was fantastic, talking us through our options and making sure we got the best value for money. He helped us find a suitable storage room which wasn't too far (it was just me and my partner doing the lifting), and he clearly explained the process. Very personable and courteous. Highly recommend.
