  Sorry had to change my review, no problem with the staff they are great. But the issue is the design of the wearhouse. Basically they have one lift to serve the whole building. If the lift is broken as it has been this week on and off. You have no option other than carrying your heavy boxes up flights of stairs in the fire exit. Safestore have provided 2 porters to help you but if they are busy with someone else you are on your own. Also an email sent out to customers to explain the lift is broken would be nice. Then people who aren't desperate to use the building can leave it until the lift is fixed. That would reduce numbers turning up and give people less waiting time for a porter to help. They are definitely trying to get the lift repaired asap I'm sure, and we all know things break and need to be repaired. The only thing I'm complaining about is the fact they only have one lift.

  Polite but not overly friendly staff. Sometimes it does not smell nice when you walk into the building. My storage unit was pretty dirty when i moved în, staff had to come în with a broom before i could place my things în my unit, as it was quite dirty! I would say it is good, not excellent value for the money. Have used thus far 3 storage places în UK and this is my least favorite on my list. I can really compare and contrast. Later edit: they just sent me notice of price increases, at the same time when their only elevator is not working. I came to the storage today to pick up things from the top floor, only to find the sole elevator not working, and nobody în sight to help. Apparently they do have porters to help, în reality i have not seen them. The elevator apparently won't be working for another 3-4 weeks. So if you think about moving în here, spare yourself the trouble. Unless you can't get enough of carrying your own furniture up the stairs. If that's your thing, then this place is perfect. Oh, people were fuming. Because Safestore did not bother to let anyone know about the elevator not working. People that were moving out today found out the hard way. This is not class, this is not how to run a business. You don't just email price increases, and not also very pertinent info such as elevator not working for weeks. I was în reception today when they were giving over the Phone a very discounted price quote for the first 8 weeks to a potențial new client, without mentioning anything about the non funcțional sole elevator. This is not ok. There is nothing transparent and honest about it.
