  Despite having plenty of low-quality imports to avoid, Homesense Reading does still have a few reasonably good-quality items too. It is also very good at offering things I did not know I needed until I saw them, which is part of the appeal of visiting. I also appreciate the security guard. I find his presence reassuring and appreciate the sense of security he provides to everyone visiting the store. Most of all, I like that this Homesense has remained relatively consistent and unchanging for such a long time. In a town where shops and retail spaces change constantly, there is something comforting about knowing what to expect when you visit.

  Today I went to Homesense in Reading. I had a gift card to spend in store. It wasn’t working, but the lady behind the till was a lovely young lady called Tea pronounced Taya. She was so helpful to me, with regards to this gift card that I had for my birthday.Tea sorted it all out for me. So I Was extremely grateful to her. I give her a 10 out of 10 for being the most helpful person. I was definitely at the right place and right time. Thank you so much Tea.

  Intimidating and condescending security guard. Proceeds to ask me if I had finished my drink when I’m walking around the shop and then when I said no he tried to look into the cup. Upon leaving, same security guard stops me and tells me that ‘as my items are bagged and in a trolley he knows I’ve paid for it because otherwise the trolley would not let me out?!’ I mean did I ask for this advice or to be told this. I need to reconsider shopping here again. This is very unfortunate as the staff in the shop are amazing, very helpful.

  This store used to be one of my favourite stores caters for all things needed and is a big store There seems to be issues with disabled people being accepted for jobs which is a shame Please update yourselves on hidden disabilities

  Love this place for the Halloween stuff only unfortunately. They aren’t very good with disabled people whether it’s physical or hidden. Sad to say that there has been some discrimination on disabilities. May have to just go TKMaxx from now on 😔
