  Poor Experience at Magnet, Preston I had a very disappointing experience at Magnet in Preston. Nick, one of the staff members or he may even be a manager, was unhelpful and displayed an incredibly unprofessional attitude. He insisted I pick up a fire door directly from the warehouse, despite the fact that I wasn’t insured to do so. It was only after I escalated the issue to Magnet HQ that Nick, along with Chris, finally brought it to the warehouse shutters for me. Nick’s attitude throughout was unacceptable—he even suggested a refund if I wasn’t willing to take the door from their warehouse stock, which felt like a dismissive way to handle the situation. As for Chris, he was equally frustrating to deal with. He originally handled the kitchen order, but getting in touch with him was nearly impossible. Despite several attempts to contact him over the course of a month, I never received a callback. The only time I managed to speak with him was when I visited the store in person. In fairness, there was a lady who seemed to be in some senior position apologised for what she had witnessed, but damage was done. I had worktops to purchase from them but turned it down due to poor experience. I’m managing a project remotely from London, and the experience at Magnet Preston was beyond disappointing. They were unreliable and unprofessional, making the entire process far more difficult than it needed to be. I would not recommend them for any project.
